Jon Langford(I)
- Actor
The son of an industrial real-estate agent and an electrical
technician, Jonathan George Langford was born at Mt. Sinai
Hospital and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He attended Humber College in
Etobicoke, where he graduated from the Radio Broadcasting program in
2005.
He first got the acting bug while attending Northview Heights Secondary School in Toronto, where he met his long-time agent. After his first audition, he landed the role of Bodanis on HBO's hit Sci-fi series Odyssey 5 (2002) alongside his identical twin brother Mat Langford. The principal role saw him acting with Peter Weller (24, Robocop) and Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty, Felicity) and made him confident that he wanted to act as much as possible.
After going to an audition in Toronto, he landed the principal role of Herman in Cavedweller (2003), with Kevin Bacon (Footloose, Hollow Man) and Kyra Sedgewick (The Closer). Although his scenes in the film centered mainly around cast-mate April Mullen (Gravytrain, Howie Do it), meeting and conversing with other big name actors was an excellent learning experience.
He is currently working in Toronto, and is always looking for parts that interest and challenge him.
