After earning a Master's in Vocal Performance from the Music Conservatoire of Pescara (Italy) and a Master's in Humanities from Rome University "La Sapienza", Sandro Naglia made his debut as a tenor in 1987 in Milan, and two years later he distinguished himself in Monteverdi's Vespers in Venice (1989) conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner, so starting an international career. In 2000 he began to study conducting which, since 2007, developed as a parallel activity to singing.
As a musician, he has performed in almost 30 countries throughout the world, in such venues as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wiener Musikverein, Konzerthaus Berlin, Edinburgh Festival, Flanders Festival, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, New York Lincoln Centre, opera houses of Rome, Bologna, Genoa, Palermo, Monte-Carlo, recording more than 40 CDs for DG-Archiv, Naive-Opus 111, Glossa and other labels.
After moving to the U.S.A., he also resumed his activity as an actor - which had begun in high school and continued sporadically during the years - taking part in theater, film, television, and podcast productions.
