Danielle Guilbot was born in 2006 and raised in Austin, Texas. She started her career in NYC at the age of 9, where she booked her second audition ever, landing a lead role (Cindy Lou Who) in Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," a Broadway touring show. She and her little sister Madeleine had made it to the final 7 girls during their first audition, outlasting hundreds of other talented girls for an international touring show of "Annie," with a casting director panel that included Martin Charnin himself. She and Madeleine were then both cast as Von Trapp children in a North American tour of "The Sound of Music", a classic show featuring complex 5-part harmonies. Danielle (and her sisters) love touring, and have traveled to 35 American states, and 4 cities in Canada.
After wrapping their last Broadway tour experience, and an Equity production of Annie, in 2020 Danielle booked the leading role of Stephanie in Richard Linklater's movie "Apollo 10 1/2", featuring Jack Black and Zachary Levi. Linklater, famous for directing "School of Rock," "Slackers," and "Boyhood," among many others, fell in love with Danielle's interpretation of the character, and told the casting director after Danielle's first reading, "Well, that's our Stephanie. How can you do better than that?"
Danielle and her sisters are also songwriters and musicians (Danielle plays bass guitar, piano, and sings). They were the youngest official performers at SXSW in 2018, and have shared the stage with Grammy-award winning songwriter Bruce Robison ("Travelin' Soldier", The Dixie Chicks). Danielle cut her first single "Ghost Light (A Broadway Love Song)" at Austin's renowned Jumping Dog Studios, and is releasing an accompanying video soon.
