John Terry is a professional actor, director and teacher. John was most recently seen in Bedlam's The Crucible at The Connelly Theatre in New York. He played Danforth, Thomas Putnam, and Judge Hathorne. Prior to that, he was seen as Russ/Dan in the production of Clybourne Park at Marietta's Theater in the Square. John also collaborated in devising and performed in the award winning production of The Asylum of Dr. Moreau at the Orlando Fringe Festival.He received his MFA in Performance Studies from the Department of Theater and Film Studies at the University of Georgia (UGA). He is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
John Terry's engaging work in class and performance makes him favored amongst his students and peers. Classes taught include Introduction to Theater and Acting for Camera. Other notable work is the direction of the Musical,Young Frankenstein at UGA.
John's breadth of experience includes an internship with the Underbelly Festival in London, the Shakespeare and Company Winter Intensive in Lenox, MA, and Clown work with Michael Toomey in New York. Passions include the Japanese art of Butoh, devising new work and the incorporation of mask and puppetry into that work.
