- Maria Mesariti is a Cypriot Stage and TV actress who was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. Her origin is from Famagusta. Her first language is Greek. She speaks English and Turkish. During her earlier years she joined ballet lessons.She studied Turkish and Middle Eastern studies with concentration in History and Politics where she achieved the first place at the University of Cyprus. During the same period, Maria studied acting at Satirico Theatre in Nicosia. She started her acting career on stage when she was a student at the drama school. She was selected to play with her professors to an uncompleted play "The Underground" by Hristo Boytchev. Maria finished the plot and the director realized that she has talent in writing. During the period of her final exams she was selected to play in the historical drama series "Galateia" in the role of the charming evil Alexandra Ewans.
