Mumbai, July 22 (Ians) Dance reality show ‘Hip Hop India’ has broken the Guinness World Record, with the largest on-ground hip-hop dance activity, on the day of its premiere episode.

A total number of 1,870 dancers came together to jointly perform hip-hop dance for over five minutes.

The previous record for the largest hip-hop performance was achieved in 2014, by 1,658 dancers in Alabama, US.

The event was held at Filmcity in Mumbai in the presence of Hip Hop India’s judges Remo D’Souza and Nora Fatehi.

The Guinness World Records official adjudicators announced the record-breaking moment.

Choreographer Remo said: “Witnessing these amazing urban dancers from all across the nation in their true form is itself an achievement for me. And being a part of a team that set a world record in the field of hip-hop is an honour not only for me, but for all of us who took part in it.

Mumbai, July 12 (Ians) Rocking the dance floor in ‘Hip Hop India’, actress Nora Fatehi and choreographer Remo D’Souza strike all the right chords, showcasing their hip-hop-laden groove in the new promo for the reality show.

With both heading the show, they amp up all expectations with viewers highly anticipating the new hip hop reality show, The promo also brings out the journey of various contestants from the gullies on to the glorious stage of ‘Hip Hop India’, doing full justice to its tagline ‘Gully se Glory Tak.’

Bollywood diva Nora Fatehi is all set to be a judge on the dance reality show, ‘Hip-Hop India’, and termed it as ‘pure excitement manifested into reality’.

Nora will join choreographer Remo D’Souza as a co-judge, as the two scout for country’s next biggest Hip-Hop sensation, while enthralling audiences with their on-screen charisma and chemistry. The poster of the show features Nora in an unique avatar sporting a glamorous underground look.

Mumbai, April 27 (Ians) Choreographer and film director Remo D’ Souza talked about his days of struggle and his mental stress when his films didn’t work at the box office.

Remo appeared on the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer 3’ as a celebrity guest and recalled his tough time after listening to the story of Madhya Pradesh’s Akshay Pal on the show.

He said: “Akshay, I have seen your journey. I know that you have struggled a lot. I have even struggled a lot. I make films, but some films don’t work, you make one that does not work, the second one does not do as well as the third and then I stopped, my mental health was not good. Yet, I rose up again and challenged myself, to make myself better.”

Jackie Shroff on Sunday stated that mother earth will bless us if we take care of her and keep the surroundings clean. The actor, who’s also an avid organic farmer, appealed to young people to participate in a ‘Clean-a-thon’ being organised at the Miramar Beach in Panaji on Monday morning.
