Blerim Gjoci is an award-winning actor, screenwriter, director and producer. Before he moved to the US, Blerim had an extensive and successful filmmaking career in Kosovo and Europe. Through his film company SCA Group, Blerim wrote, produced or directed around one hundred films. Blerim is the winner of many international awards, including Sundance, Italian Movie Awards, TIF, and more.
In 2014 Blerim moved to the US to continue his MFA studies at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where as a result of his extensive experience, he ended up teaching. After his studies and teaching duties at USC were completed, Blerim wrote and directed two live action shorts and two feature documentaries. Blerim is the recipient of Kosovo's National Film Fund for "Sunny Hill," a feature he wrote as part of his thesis at USC. In 2021 he won Best Director at the Venice Film Festival (Venice-LA) for his film "Fusion" starring Eric Roberts.
He lives in Los Angeles, California.
