She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to Infectious Disease Control and Epidemiological Research. She is Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London. She lives in Reading, Berkshire, England.
