- He is survived by his wife Hana and their sons: Ido, Adam and Dvorah.
- His parents died in 2005.
- He and his holocaust-surviver parents moved to Israel in 1949, when he was two years old.
- Since his English was not good enough at the time, during his audition in front of Utah Hagen he decided to improvise a fisherman fishing silently instead of the traditional monologue. At the end of that audition, she personally told him he's accepted.
- Won a scholarship that enabled him to spend a year in New York City during which he studied under some of the most respectable acting teachers of the time including Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and Utah Hagen.
