Born in Buenos Aires, Ana Laura Monserrat earned her PhD in Biology from the University of Buenos Aires in 2010, focusing on Ecology and Climate Change. Balancing her academic pursuits with an interest in filmmaking, she graduated as a Filmmaker Director from ENERC in 2016. Subsequently, she dedicated herself to integrating her interdisciplinary research into her career. Invited to participate in the Looking China Project in 2017, she repeated the experience in 2020, collaborating online with a global team. Her debut feature film, 'Maquina para ver el alma' (Machine for the Aura), premiered in competition at the Warsaw International Film Festival, showcasing a blend of scientific insight and cinematic storytelling.
