Vimish Gandesha

Vimish has a background of more than 25 years in the media industries. He started his career at Sky before joining the team that launched the UK's Channel 5. As Channel 4's GM of Program Acquisition, he launched FilmFour as a premium movie network and devised the highly successful concept for E4. Vimish served for twelve years as a SVP of NBCUniversal, where he oversaw major markets across the EMEA region for the Hollywood Studio. More recently, he joined MBC Group to create a film/tv studio for the Middle East broadcaster before going on to become the head of content for its streaming platform. In 2020 Vimish founded Originate TV as a production, distribution and advisory business. Originate has worked with fast growing Nordic streamer Viaplay, Spanish public broadcaster rtve, Middle East premium pay service OSN and many other platforms. Originate created the branded service concept "Viaplay Select", rolling out around the World, and Vimish is also focused on developing Viaplay's commercial strategy for original feature film.
