- Feargal Sharkey was born on August 13, 1958 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, UK. He is an actor and composer, known for Teenage Kicks: The Undertones (2001), Hittimittari (1984) and Insert Name Here (2016).
- Had a good run as a solo artist in the late Eighties/early Nineties with two soul-inspired albums to his credit: the eponymous debut (1985) and 1988's "Wish".
- His biggest solo hit was "A Good Heart" (1985), written by Maria McKee, produced by David A. Stewart (of Eurythmics-fame) and co-arranged/orchestrated by Michael Kamen.
- Lead singer of Irish punk rock/new wave band The Undertones. The group disbanded in 1983, but got together again in the early 2000s touring European clubs.
- He was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to Music.
