Hey, "Elementary" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight's episode 6 of this current season 7. Now that it's officially over and done with, it's time to see what will be going down in next week's brand new episode 8. Thanks to the wonderful folks over at CBS, we do have a few teaser descriptions to share with you guys via their episode 7 press release. So, that is what we'll be using for this spoiler session. As usual, to get things started, we will take a look at this title for episode 7. They've officially labeled episode 7, "From Russia With Drugs." I like how they parodied the "From Russia With Love" saying. Anyways, episode 7 sounds like it will feature some pretty interesting, possible very dangerous and scandalous scenes as Holmes and Watson investigate the murder of a criminal. Captain Gregson suspects some very scandalous foul play and more! We'll go ahead and start off...

Star Trek has been with us for over 50 years in one form or another. It started in 1964 with the filming of the pilot episode of the original series, and it has continued to the present day, through films and subsequent TV series, along with other mediums such as books and video games.
We’re principally interested in the core of the franchise here, the TV series and films, and we’re going to take a look at some 'what if...' possibilities of projects that almost happened but didn’t. If you’re reading...

The Performer | Kaitlin Olson
The Show | The Mick
The Episode | “Pilot” (Jan. 1, 2017)
The Performance | Mere hours into the new year, we already witnessed 2017’s first breakout performance.
As Mackenzie Murphy, the titular trainwreck who is suddenly put in charge of her rich sister’s snobby kids in Fox’s freshman comedy, Olson has the formidable task of acting crass, lazy and wholly irresponsible — while also getting us to like her.
Fortunately, we were hooked 30 seconds into Sunday’s series opener, when Mackenzie dumped baby powder down her pants in the middle of the grocery store.
Throughout The Mick‘s debut,...

Tonight’s host is Russell Crowe, an Oscar-winning actor known for his performances in movies such as Gladiator, L.A. Confidential, and pretty much nothing comedic ever-- until next month’s The Nice Guys comes out. This is his first time hosting; let’s see how it went! Cold Open: Hillary Clinton delivers a message encouraging New Yorkers to get out and vote for her in their upcoming primary election. It felt refreshing to see Kate McKinnon’s face up there at the start of the night rather than anything involving the Republican race, which even in comedy sketch form is mostly just depressing these days; you can only laugh at a person’s spray tan so many times before remembering he could usher our nation into its Young Adult Dystopian Novel era. Plus, the show hasn’t quite figured out what angle to take with the Republican side of...

Another new name has been added to the cast of Fox’s The Exorcist TV series, and it should excite fans of Beetlejuice and 1986’s The Fly.
Variety reports that Geena Davis has joined the cast of The Exorcist TV series. Davis is set to play the role of Angela Rance, who “does everything she can to stay positive and keep her faith even though her family is currently struggling.” Despite her sunny outlook on life, Angela dreams of a demon and wonders if it is related to the problems plaguing her family.
Angela appears to be the mother of Charlotte Rance (Brianne Howey from Scream Queens), a teenager who is potentially possessed by a demon following an intense accident, and Charolotte’s concerned sister, Casey (Hannah Kasulka from The Fosters).
Horror fans are well aware of Geena Davis, who previously starred in David Cronenberg’s The Fly, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice,...

Another cast member has joined the fight against demonic possession in Fox’s The Exorcist TV series.
Deadline reports that Kurt Egyiawan (Beasts of No Nation) has joined the cast of Fox’s The Exorcist TV series as a series regular role as Father Bennett, “a liaison for the Vatican.”
Egyiawan joins Alfonso Herrera (Sense8, Demon Inside) and Ben Daniels (Flesh and Bone, Doom) in the series, who recently climbed aboard the project to play priests as well.
Herrera’s Father Tomas is described as a “warm, selfless and compassionate leader of a small but hearty little church,” while Daniels’ Father Marcus is “the intense holy warrior carrying out an occupation that the church no longer acknowledges in public.”
The current cast also includes Brianne Howey (Scream Queens) as Charlotte Rance, a teenager who is potentially possessed by a demon following an intense accident, and Hannah Kasulka (The Fosters) as Charolotte’s concerned sister,...

Oscar voting opened Monday, and like clockwork, the haters have come calling. As Deadline’s Pete Hammond wrote on Monday, ’tis the season for controversy over fact-based awards contenders: Now, Bennett Miller’s real-life Olympian tragedy Foxcatcher and Tim Burton’s art exposé Big Eyes have joined Mlk Jr. drama Selma, the Alan Turing biopic The Imitation Game and Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken in ducking for cover over accuracy issues in mixing fact-based stories with narrative structure.
Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz, who’s played by Channing Tatum in Foxcatcher, publicly supported the film through its November theatrical release. That changed drastically in a series of angry online rants this week as Schultz turned on the Golden Globe-nominated pic, which won Miller the Best Director prize at Cannes. He blasted Miller and the film on Facebook after he read reviews dwelling on the suggestion of a sexual relationship between him and...

Think Like a Man Too
Written by Keith Merryman and David A. Newman
Directed by Tim Story
USA, 2014
The opening lines of Kevin Hart’s voiceover wax philosophical on the history of Las Vegas, but they’re less an introduction to Think Like a Man Too so much as a restatement of what is obvious to anyone in the audience: this is Kevin Hart’s movie. The massively popular comedian’s ubiquity is no secret (see: Hart discussing his pro wrestling reawakening with Jon Stewart) and his presence in Tim Story’s 2012 half-adaptation of Steve Harvey’s sex advice book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man all but guaranteed his return for any sequel.
But, beyond the serious box office legs of the original, why a sequel? Think Like a Man begins with Hart’s same overly-enthusiastic narration, though the original sports a quick-witted dissection of monogamy and...

In a controversial move, DC decided to forego publishing its regular line of books and put out 52 one-shot stories featuring some of its best villains. The one-shots range from extremely popular (Joker, Lex Luthor, Brainiac) to the newer and more obscure (Relic, Shadow Thief). They feature some veteran creators and some who have barely drawn a comic. Each “Villains Month” book will get a decimal point after a regular DC Comic. For example, Joker will feature in Batman 23.1, Riddler will feature in Batman 23.2 etc. The first issue of the new DC event Forever Evil will come out the same month as the villain one-shots. It is a direct follow up to “Trinity War” and will be written by Geoff Johns and drawn by David Finch. There are quite a few “Villains Month” books, but the following comics either have great creative teams, continue a compelling storylines, or are simply intriguing.

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening, my ComicMixers! I hope you all had a merry Christmas, a sassy Chanukah, and grumpy Festivus if you were so inclined. So, with Father Time about to hit the retcon button on our daily calendars… I thought it would be apropos to reflect a bit on those amazing and terrible things that made my year. Please note: this isn’t All about comic books; you’ve been warned.
Because I like to start on a dour note… here’s The Worst!
5. Avengers Vs. X-Men Vs. My Sanity: Simply put, this stands up as yet-another-example of what makes me hate the mainstream comics business. No matter how many times they lather us up with “we’ve got the best talent on this”, “this will change everything”, and “you won’t believe what happens!”, they always end up the same. Bloated, predictable, and unending. Every...
