For the longest time, Dusty’s been slowly deteriorating as a character that we enjoy watching. He goes from charming husband and loving father to obnoxiously rude partner and absent father slowly over the course of the show, which is more than disappointing. Specifically, because it’s the kind of life arc one doesn’t want to experience, going from somewhat perfect to someone most people despise. It’s not Dusty who’s the problem here; it’s more about how he ended up like this and why it changed him so much.
I suppose the expectation you might have of finding your potential is more vast than your actual potential, leaving one supremely disappointed. The final episode of The Big Door Prize season 2 is both hilarious and somewhat poignant. It’s got a lot of revelations, specifically around Hana, and what they mean for the Morpho. Here’s me...

‘The Big Door Prize’ Season 2 Episode 9 Recap & Ending Explained: Are Dusty And Cass Happy Together?
The penultimate episode of The Big Door Prize is rather melancholic for fans of the first season of the show. I suppose that, when I talk about these fans, I’m referring to myself, but it seems like change is inevitable, which makes me quite sad. Can a machine really tell us what our potential is? Is it fair to change our lives drastically simply based on a cartoon vision from a machine that popped out of nowhere? I’m not quite certain I’d do it, but of course, there would be no “Big Door Prize” without everyone’s trust in the Morpho. As it goes, it’s always the young ones who have to stand by and see the adults devolving in such a situation. With only one episode left in the series, I do hope the people of Deerfield realize that their potential doesn’t come from...

The residents of Deerfield are moving on to the “next stage” with the mysterious Morpho machine, which appeared in the town and told them their “potentials,” in The Big Door Prize Season 2 (premiering with the first three episodes on April 24 on Apple TV+). But are they ready? “No, I don’t think he’s really ready for any of it. He’s just being dragged along by a current of madness, so he’s trying to react and swim gamely to the side and catching on to whatever crossing log might bring him to safety,” Chris O’Dowd (who plays Dusty) tells TV Insider. “So I don’t know if he’s ready, but he’s willing, I suppose.” On the other hand, Giorgio is “definitely ready,” according to Josh Segarra. “He’s always been ready, and now he finally has somebody to accept his ready. Nat [Mary Holland] and Giorgio together,...

The Gucci family saga that entered the global pop culture arena with Ridley Scott’s movie “House of Gucci” is set for another take — this time in the TV sphere, and with the real Gucci family on board as part of the production team.
Gaumont, the French film and television group behind “Narcos,” “Lupin” and upcoming fashion world series “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld,” has signed an agreement with producer Giorgio Gucci, who represents the Gucci family, to make a TV series about the rise of the iconic Gucci brand. The show will follow the company’s beginnings with founder Guccio Gucci and delve into the conflicts that ensued within the fashion family dynasty that led to the sale of their empire.
The still-untitled project is in the development stage with no director or cast attached, but is looking to shoot in Italy, the U.S., France and the U.K.

How do you capture Jenne Casarotto? She was at the intersection of theatre, film and television. It all, seemingly, swirled around her.
Not just around her.
It was the brilliant team that she assembled at Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, the agency that’s been at the epicenter of UK arts culture for over three decades. Correction: The company’s reach extended far beyond the environs of London’s Soho.
One would see her in Venice, Cannes, Toronto and Sydney. One would not be at all surprised to be at a screening at, let’s say, Sundance, and there’d be a tap on the shoulder when the lights came up. “That was great stuff, wasn’t it?” She’d say gleefully.
It was a bit of a test because she’d expect you to be honest with her. Well, it was godawful, actually, and she’d nod sagely, her eyes twinkling behind her specs.

Actor and producer Benjamin Bratt has joined the Oscar hopeful documentary short “Wings of Dust” as executive producer.
The “Poker Face” star boards the project with his brother Peter Bratt and Alpita Patel, all under their production banner 5 Stick Films. “Wings of Dust” took the 2023 gold medal at the Student Academy Awards, telling the story of a Peruvian indigenous journalist who risks his life to protect the natural resources of ancestral lands.
The film was directed by Italian-born Giorgio Ghiotto, who just completed journalism school at NYU.
“Giorgio has a keen sensibility about emotional truth. The film left me truly devastated and ultimately inspired to help bring attention to what is largely a global issue,” Bratt told Variety.
The subject of “Wings of Dust” is Vidal Merma, a journalist seeking to combat a new threat from multinational mining companies. Both Ghiotto and Merma were on hand to accept the Student Academy Award this year.

From Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to Wanted: Dead, Stefanie Joosten has had a storied career in the video game world. However, recently the actress has expanded her creative projects to the music realm, releasing her first album Singing to the Sky last year. This month Joosten's sophomore album Intermission was released, continuing her exploration of sound and lyricism.
Many players will recognize Joosten from her role of Quiet in The Phantom Pain, one of the most critically-acclaimed Metal Gear Solid titles, or her role as Vivienne in Wanted: Dead. Despite the dark tones of these characters, her albums take on a much lighter hue, drawing inspiration from disco music and classic 1980s sounds. Intermission also marks Joosten's second time collaborating with Giorgio Moroder, an Italian composer often called the "Father of Disco."

The Castle Freak episode of Best Horror Movie You Never Saw was Written by Cody Hamman, Narrated by Jason Hewlett, Edited by Paul Bookstaber, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
Stuart Gordon directed some of the best, most popular H.P. Lovecraft adaptations ever made, starting with the 1985 classic Re-Animator. A decade after making that movie, he returned to Lovecraft to tell a much darker, even nastier story. The story of a hideous man who has lived an awful life of confinement and torture. And when he escapes, a bloodbath ensues. It’s the story of a man known as the Castle Freak – and it’s The Best Horror Movie You Never Saw.
Stuart Gordon and producer Charles Band established their working relationship during the filming of Re-Animator. The project benefited from the production facilities of Band’s company Empire Pictures, and Empire was the distributor.

When The Standard Hotel on the Sunset Strip abruptly shut down in January of 2021, Bryan Rabin told The Hollywood Reporter that his weekly hub of celebrity-packed fabulosity — Giorgio’s nightclub — wasn’t over. Yes, it had been already on hiatus for the previous 10 months because of the Covid-19 pandemic (save for some virtual iterations). But, vowed Rabin, a few days after the Standard closed for good, “Giorgio’s is not closing. We’ll be back, when we get the pandemic under control, in a new location. Giorgio’s will rise from the ashes like a phoenix.”
Well, he meant it.
On May 13, starting at 10 p.m., Giorgio’s will be back. The invitation-only nightclub (“You have to know me,” says Rabin of how to nab a reservation) is reopening in a new home: Grandmaster Recorders, the Italian restaurant, bar and club in Hollywood that opened in late 2021 inside the former...
