Movie actor, songwriter and martial artist born and raised in the Italian south for 2/3 of his life and in China for the remaining 1/3.
He has worked and exchanged blows with several martial arts stars like Jackie Chan, Wu Jing, Max Zhang, Vincent Zhao, Arif Lee and Louis Fan. He played the main villain Role in several productions, including Vincent Zhao's "Counterattack" and Michael Chiang's "Career as a Mercenary", and secondary roles in Tang Qiaojia's "VR Fighter" (also known as One More Shot), Marc Ma's "Wolf Hiding" as well as big Chinese blockbusters "The Battle at Lake Changjin" and "The Eight Hundred."
Diego was introduced to martial arts by his brother Amedeo when he was a kid, and he has been kicking, punching, slashing and thrusting continuously since then. He practices Chinese and Filipino martial arts, and his action training includes Chinese Wushu, Wing Chun, Pekiti Tirsia Kali (single, double-edged, and impact weapons), Kyokushin Karate, fight choreography training, and Firearms (IPSC, IDPA, CQB, and Tactical Shooting).
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Eastern Asian Languages and Cultures from "L'Orientale University of Naples", and a Master's Degree in International Relations from "Fudan University" of Shanghai, hence he can speak, read, write and act in Chinese, English, Italian and Neapolitan languages.
Encouraged by his mother Palma and his father Giovanni, he started his journey as a stage performer studying theatre at a very young age, to then become the rock singer of the band Naadir between 1999 and 2009. He has continued his musical journey and recently produced and released his solo project "The Trilogy of The Merc," a collection of three Industrial Metal albums narrating the sci-fi story of a soldier and his fight against PTSD and mental illness.
The combination of stage performance with the knowledge of the Chinese language and martial arts enabled him to start and develop a career in Cinema. He has played action roles as well as dramatic and comedic roles in cinema movies, TV shows, and Ads.
He loves music, training in any sport (not only martial arts), sci-fi (particularly cyberpunk), weapons, horror, psychology, philosophy, virtual reality, synths, pianos, guitars, nature, animals, and things that are out of the ordinary.
