Sugababes have delighted fans by releasing an album they recorded almost eight years ago.

The pop trio consisting of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, lost the right to record and perform as the Sugababes after a number of lineup changes in the group.

The original lineup performed between 1998 to 2001, during which time they achieved six Number 1 singles. They briefly reformed as Mks in 2013 before regaining the right to perform as the Sugababes in 2019, when they released a cover of UK garage classic “Flowers” by Sweet Female Attitude.

A successful comeback year has involved a UK headline tour and a set at Glastonbury Festival to huge crowds. They have now released a full studio album, The Lost Tapes.

Sugababes singer Jade Ewen has admitted to Digital Spy that she only took part in Splash! because "they paid [her] amazingly".

The 25-year-old said she had hoped that ITV's celebrity diving contest would be "like Strictly Come Dancing on the water", but quickly realised that the most rewarding part of the show would be her pay cheque.

Talking at the BMW i3 launch last night (Monday, July 29), Ewen said of Splash!: "I had fun, yeah. I didn't know what it was going to be like.

"It could have been amazing like Strictly Come Dancing on the water - it wasn't. If I'm really honest they paid me amazingly, I only had to dive once. I was very happy."

London, Jan 2: Original Sugababes - one of the biggest girl bands of the late nineties - are back as Mks and played their first concert in more than a decade at a New Year's Eve party.

The trio looked happy to be back together and smiled, while holding the artwork for their original debut album 'One Touch,' backstage at the gig.

The singers, who had announced that they were reforming in July last year, coordinated their outfits and dressed in black for the performance.

Australian singer Peter Andre is dating former Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan, according to a U.K. report. The "Mysterious Girl" hitmaker split from model Katie Price in May 2009, with their divorce being finalised in September the same year.

Andre has remained single since then. Buchanan, who recently parted ways with her boyfriend of two years, has become close to Andre in recent months and the pair is now dating, according to Britain's News of the World.
