Aloha Mai. Shereen Balles is originally from the island of O'ahu in Hawai'i. She is Kanaka Ma'oli-a Native Indigenous person of Hawai'i.
Shereen has been happily married in December 2023. Shereen is a Mother of 4 beautiful children-3 daughters and 1 son, Daughter to her amazing parents, Sister to her 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Aunty to her nieces and nephews. 'Ohana is so important to her.
Shereen has been a Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAGAFTRA) Member and Actress since 2010 who has acted on various movies and television series in the islands of Hawai'i.
Shereen's most recent accolade has been to Write, Produce, Co-Direct and Act on "A Way Out" her first short film and is in Pre-Production (2024) for her feature film. Shereen was honored to be a Co-Star on Magnum PI's Season 5 Episode 17 as Vera, the landlord. Shereen has also been featured on Hallmark's Aloha Heart as the Kahu, Aunty K on Maria del Mar and Doctor Noelani on Down To Earth. Shereen has acted on NCIS Hawai'i as a recurring NCIS Agent in the bullpen from Season 1 to Season 4, as well as recurring HPD Magnum PI, recurring HPD on Hawai'i Five-O, Apple TV's Chief of War, Hallmark's Groundswell, Disney's Doogie Kamealoha MD, Voice Over Cosmos Possible Worlds, Jurassic World, and Godzilla. Shereen completed Mana i Ka Mana - an Indigenous peoples of Hawai'i Acting Intensive of The Hawai'i regions International Cultural Arts Network- ICANintl, studying with Indigenous Mentors: Alex Tarrant, Luci Tarrant, Te Ao O Hinepehinga, Brian Keaulana, Cliff Curtis, Rena Owen, Sisa Grey, Moses Goods, Brandon Finn, Iaone Goodhue, and Luciane Buchanan and has studied with Robert Zimmerman, Peter Allas and Jennii Vo Le at ZA Studios Hawai'i.
Shereen speaks, chants, and sings in 'Olelo Hawai'i. Her passion is clear, she absolutely adores her culture, her people who she considers her 'ohana. Shereen's goal is to empower other Kanaka Ma'oli to follow their dreams, and to perpetuate her culture. To reach for the stars. She is a writer and aspires to one day direct her film. Shereen is an advocate for Indigenous people's making films and creative content.
