Marvel Studios has introduced us to plenty of beloved characters over the past 16 years, but few have been quite as beloved as Loki. Tom Hiddleston's playful, mischievous, and deadly trickster made his way into fans' hearts and minds with his very first appearance in 2011's Thor, and they just haven't been able to shake him since. He's intoxicating in such a way that only Loki could be.
The character has undergone two redemption arcs now and that's mainly because there have been two versions of him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first one truly evolved from villain to hero and sadly met his end at the hands of Thanos in a sacrifice to protect his brother Thor. The second was a variant ripped from a timeline who didn't get the chance to evolve after his Avengers villainy but found a new way of redeeming himself by sacrificing his...

It's no surprise that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a recursive effect on the stories published in Marvel Comics. The latest result of that synergy is the new Marvel comic mini-series "Tva."
The Tva is an extra-dimensional organization designed to keep the multitude of timelines in check. Now, the Time Variance Authority does have its earliest roots in Marvel Comics.
However, the Tva shot to new prominence due to its role in the MCU. It was the primary setting of the two season Disney+ series "Loki," where the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) was drafted as a Tva agent. The Authority also played a major part in Marvel's multiverse buddy comedy, "Deadpool & Wolverine."
"Tva" is bringing the comic Time Variance Authority in line with the onscreen one. The comic is written by "Loki" writer Katharyn Blair (and drawn by Pere Pérez) and introduces several of the McU-exclusive Tva characters.

Joe Barton, the mind behind Giri/Haji, returns with Black Doves—a spy series that boldly merges the high-stakes intensity of espionage drama with the warmth and sentimentality of a holiday movie. This unique tonal blend sets Netflix’s Black Doves apart, carving a place for itself alongside modern espionage hits like Slow Horses and The Agency. With its emotionally complex characters and intrigue-laden narrative, the series signals a renaissance of the spy thriller genre in television. Set against the shimmering backdrop of a Christmastime London, Black Doves follows Helen Webb (Keira Knightley), a former honeytrap operative turned housewife, whose life unravels when her lover is assassinated. Her thirst for revenge draws her back into the shadowy world of international espionage, putting her at odds with her handler, Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire), and entangling her with Sam (Ben Whishaw), a morally ambiguous triggerman haunted by a failed mission from his past.

Kevin Feige and the Marvel franchise seem to have come under fire recently after one of its actors claimed to be homeless after suffering abuse from his family. Actor Jack Veal, who was featured in Loki, put out a series of videos where he claimed to have been abused and was possibly being screened for severe mental disorders.
While the actor gave an update saying that the overwhelming support from the fandom has led to social services contacting him, many questioned the lack of support from franchise head Kevin Feige. The Marvel Studios CEO did not comment on the situation, despite him being a part of the last great Disney+ show from the franchise.

That’s right, in 2001, long before his fame in films like Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Taylor-Johnson made his first television appearance as the young version of James Frain’s Lorimer Black.

Nat Geo’s acquisitions boss has addressed the axing of high-volume fare like Wicked Tuna and Life Below Zero.
With the death of long-running cable dominating chatter at this week’s Content London, Christian Drobnyk said the “economics” of high-volume shows like the exploration of fishermen in Massachusetts needs to be “far more efficient given how much the industry has changed since they were greenlit.”
Drobnyk was addressing the cancelation of Wicked Tuna after 13 seasons and more than 200 episodes, which came over the summer amid a drastic reduction in cable shows across the board and 60 layoffs at Nat Geo. Alaska reality series Life Below Zero is also reported to have been axed after 11 years.
“We need to start to look at how those shows are built and what their price points are,” Drobnyk considered. “Those shows were greenlit when we were a linear-only platform and that world has changed dramatically.

Andy Serkis Talks Knull MCU Return (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Whenever there is talk of a mo-cap character, Andy Serkis is always mentioned. Despite not being from the technology industry, Serkis is still a motion capture pioneer. He has played roles in The Jungle Book’s Baloo, King Kong, Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars, Caesar in Planet of the Apes, and Gollum in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit film trilogies.
After his directorial work on Venom: Let There Be Carnage and his portrayal of Ulysses Klaue in the MCU, Serkis has returned to Marvel in Venom: The Last Dance. In typical Serkis fashion, he took on the role of a non-human character. This time, he portrayed Knull, the main antagonist of the movie. Fans now wonder whether Knull will eventually enter the MCU, and the actor has reacted to it.

Ahead of Loki season 2's release on 4K SteelBook, another deleted scene has been released and it's essentially 90 seconds of the God of Mischief and the Tva's Mobius enjoying a couple of slices of Key Lime Pie.
Yes, it's a minute and a half of them eating pie, though the two best pals also share their thoughts on its taste and, more specifically, the quality of the cream on top. Neither seems overly impressed and Mobius even suggests it could be used as shaving cream.
The friendship between these characters was cemented over the course of two seasons, making it all the more tragic when they were separated in the finale. Loki is trapped at the end of time and Mobius is now exploring the Multiverse, hopefully ahead of a return in Avengers: Doomsday and/or Avengers: Secret Wars.

Was Lokie actually an evil character? ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
So, here’s the real question: was Loki a villain, or was he just another pawn in Thanos’ game? Here’s the scoop. For years, Loki’s been the MCU’s Mvp villain. Tom Hiddleston made him so iconic that he got more screen time than some heroes. But now, Marvel’s dropped a bombshell: Loki wasn’t just being evil for kicks. Fans have speculated for ages that the scepter Thanos gave him, which housed the Mind Stone, was the real culprit. And now? It’s confirmed. The Mind Stone was messing with his mind.
Now, think back to The Avengers. Loki didn’t just have a fancy weapon; the wand was a mind control device, making his “evil” actions feel more like he was being puppeteered. And, in the classic Thanos move, he never mentioned that the wand could...
So, here’s the real question: was Loki a villain, or was he just another pawn in Thanos’ game? Here’s the scoop. For years, Loki’s been the MCU’s Mvp villain. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Surprising Moulin Rouge Audition Fail (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Imagine Leonardo DiCaprio singing “Lean on Me.” Sounds wild, right? It didn’t go as planned when he auditioned for Moulin Rouge’s lead role, Christian. Despite being a rising star, fresh off Romeo + Juliet, DiCaprio had one major hiccup: his voice. According to the actor, his singing was atrocious. The audition involving DiCaprio, director Baz Luhrmann, and a piano player didn’t improve. Leo remembers, “When I hit the high note, he just turned to me. ‘Yes, D, I don’t know if this conversation should continue.’” Ouch. So, after all, Christian’s poetic soul wasn’t to be voiced by DiCaprio.
While DiCaprio had the looks and charm for the role, the musical chops just weren’t there. Enter Ewan McGregor. The Scottish actor stepped in, crooning his way into the hearts of Moulin Rouge fans...

Was Tom Hiddleston almost cast as Will Turner? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
A hangover and zero prep sent Tom Hiddleston’s Pirates of the Caribbean audition straight to Davy Jones’ locker. Hiddleston shared how he tanked his shot at the 2003 classic The Curse of the Black Pearl in the Shakespearean doc Muse of Fire. The night before his big audition? He was out celebrating a friend’s college win—hard. The next morning? Hangover Central, and, oh yeah, I have no clue what the script was about. When the casting director asked why, Hiddleston admitted he got the script the night before. The response? A frosty, “[The casting director] was like, ‘Uh-huh. Well, thanks for coming in.”
The role of Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann’s swoon-worthy blacksmith-turned-pirate, went to Orlando Bloom, fresh off The Lord of the Rings. Bloom crushed it, but Hiddleston took the loss like a pro. “Orlando Bloom is Orlando Bloom.

Loki has managed to retain the top spot when it comes to Marvel Television’s projects in the eyes of the fans. The best moment was coming across variants on variants of the God of Mischief because honestly, one Tom Hiddleston is simply not enough. However, we also got to see other versions of the character, including Kid Loki played by Jack Veal. The young actor has had a few roles to his name in the industry including one in the fan favorite, The End of the F***ing World.

The Life Of Chuck, based on Stephen King’s novel and directed by Mike Flanagan, is confirmed for a 2025 release.
Coming out of this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, there was a feeling that Mike Flanagan’s upcoming adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Life Of Chuck could be an awards contender. Not only is this year’s race for Best Picture said to be one of the most open we’ve had for years, but The Life Of Chuck would win TIFF’s coveted People’s Choice Award, historically a strong indicator that a film would go on to earn a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. Twelve of the last 14 winners have gone on to do so.
The film’s US distributor Neon, however, has instead elected to give the film a May 2025 release slot according to Deadline. Not only does that preclude the film...

Flanagan’s fantasy drama, starring Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Harvey Guillén, and more, comes to theaters on May 30, 2025. Variety posted a description for The Life of Chuck in September, saying, “Adapted from Stephen King’s 2020 novella, The Life of Chuck stars Tom Hiddleston and is directed by Mike Flanagan. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with teases, cliffhangers, and post-credits scenes — some good, some bad. However, by this point there've been too many teases that remain unfulfilled, including cameos that have yet to be paid off and credits stingers that promised bigs things yet have so far amounted to nothing. Think of Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) declaring his intention to hunt down sorcerers in "Doctor Strange," Adrian Toomes aka Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Mac Gargan aka Scorpion (Michael Mando) meeting in prison in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," or basically the entire ending of "Eternals" (everything from the giant celestial sticking out of the ocean to Arishem promising to judge Earth and the hint at Kit Harington's Dane Whitman becoming the Black Knight).
Then there's "Thor: Love and Thunder," a terrible movie with bad visual effects that director Taika Waititi himself criticized (despite the poor working conditions the film's visual effects...

Ahead of Loki season 2's SteelBook release on 4K Uhd Blu-ray, one of the deleted scenes available in that set has found its way online today. In the minute-long clip, the God of Mischief reels off a list of the many people who have deemed him a problem over the years.
Most are familiar names he's crossed paths with on screen before, but the show also took this opportunity to add some noteworthy comic book characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Among them are Amora, the original Enchantress, and Absorbing Man. Loki also mentions Donald Blake, the God of Thunder's "human" alter-ego (and a name given to him in 2011's Thor by Jane Foster).
Other noteworthy names include his and Thor's grandfather, Bor, and Hercules, a character we first met in Thor: Love and Thunder's post-credits scene. It seems he and Loki have quite the history.

The Graham Norton Show has a certain atmosphere that helps it stand out as one of the most entertaining late-night TV shows in the world. But much of its success depends on the guest's willingness to play along. One legendary actor couldn't hit his mark, leading Graham Norton to call him out.
Norton keeps things loose and free-flowing when guests sit down on his red couch. There are typically three to four celebrities at a time, meaning Norton has the difficult task of giving everyone their time, keeping things moving, and ensuring the audience stays entertained.
And after decades of working in late-night TV, Norton knows who he'd pick as one of the most boring guests of all-time: Robert De Niro.
"He's not a storyteller, or very verbal," Norton said in 2018 of the Oscar-winner. "He's a benign presence" (via DailyMail).
