Auudi Rowa is an award winning actress with 9 years of film and TV industry experience. She is a professionally multifaceted performer and a gifted student of the craft.
While based in Nairobi, she has racked up a formidable body of work in the various audio visual mediums.
In 2018, she starred in the popular Kenyan web series 'This is Life' which propelled her onto bigger stages, featuring in award winning shows and stage plays like 'My Two Wives', 'Man Moments' and 'Decompress' in 2019.
The world of award winning short films was not far behind. 'Sungura' where she plays a stuck up Bridezilla to be in a supporting role won it's first award in the Malatesta Short Film Festival 2021 in Italy as Best Extended Cinema - Focus Africa and has gone on to be selected in over 5 international film festivals and counting.
She stars in the tragic love story 'Leaving Isiolo', a film that bagged the Best International Short Film at the Nashville ' Black Film Festival 2021 and has bagged official selection in film festivals all over the world including Atlanta, Prague, Zanzibar and her home country's very own NBO film festival. 'Cash Cow' a film made for the 48 Hour Film Project Nairobi where she plays a smooth con woman scooped the Best Film award and saw her win her first individual award as Best Actress Nairobi 2021 after which the film went on to get official selection and screen in the Cannes Film Festival 2022.
Also in 2022 she made her local TV series debut on 'Salem' airing on Dstv, GoTv and Showmax where she plays a glorified carjacker. Similarly she made her feature film debut on 'Chaguo' where she plays a campaign strategist to the protagonist in the political love story. The film also saw her receive her first individual nomination in the country's esteemed Kalasha International Film and TV awards as 'Best Supporting Actress in a Film'.
