Javier Solar is an experienced director who graduated (1996-2000) from the CCC Film School in Mexico City. In 2005 he co-wrote and co-directed his first feature film, More than anything in the world.
The film had an excellent run in film festivals and took home top prize at the Guadalajara and Montreal Film Festivals.
In 2007 Javier was invited to direct Los Simuladores. The series was nominated for Best Comedy Series at the International Emmy Awards 2010.
In 2018 he directed "El Vato II" , TV series for NBCUniverso and WON the International Emmy for Best Non-English US program. He also directed "Paquita la del Barrio", nominated at the International Emmys the same year.
