Amanda "Mandy," as she's called by family and close friends, was born and raised in Virginia but spent a few years in Germany. She has been married to Peter Chang for ten years and has been a resident of the beautiful island of Oahu for eleven years. Amanda is the mother of two adorable tiny people and re-entered the acting world in November of 2018. She has worked for the government for several years in the past, but her true passion and calling has always been acting. She received her acting training from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. There she received a minor in theater and student taught basic, intermediate and advanced acting for three semesters. Amanda has been involved in several 48-Hour Film Festivals in Washington, D.C., as well as a performance troupe in Virginia. In Hawaii, she has played supporting/lead roles in seven independent short films and worked on projects such as "Hawai'i Five-0," "Magnum P.I.," "Midway," "Godzilla vs Kong," "The Wrong Missy," "Next Goal Wins" and a television spot for American Savings Bank. Amanda is a member of Hawaii Filmmakers Collective. She is a former competitive swimmer, loves surfing and enjoys the outdoors.
