The popular Netflix original romantic comedy series, which was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys for its first season, debuted its strike-delayed fourth season leading up to the fall season. Well, it’s official. Lucas Bravo is coming back for Emily in Paris season 5 despite going on a smear campaign following the release of the show’s fourth season in which Bravo has made it incredibly clear he’s not a fan of the show’s creative decision.
Filming on the fifth season of Netflix’s beloved romantic comedy is set to begin next summer in France with cameras slated to begin rolling the first week of May 2025. In confirming the start date for filming, Variety has also confirmed that Bravo, who plays Emily’s on-and-off love interest Gabriel on the show, will be coming back for the upcoming fifth season… though, we’re not exactly happy with the news if we’re being completely honest.

French president Emmanuel Macron’s prayers have been answered.
“Emily in Paris” is returning to Paris for its fifth season, although it will also partly shoot in Rome, where the fourth season is set. Filming is due to begin in the first week of May next year with its usual key crew, ensuring the show will retain its French DNA, Variety has learned.
A third chic international destination for the Lily Collins-fronted hit Netflix show is also being explored, along the lines of Saint-Tropez or Megeve, which Collins’ character Emily Cooper visited in the second and fourth seasons, respectively. (Netflix declined to comment).
While French actor Lucas Bravo has been vocal in recent weeks about his frustration over his “Emily in Paris” character — the hot yet sulky French chef Gabriel — the actor is definitely on track to star in Season 5 as of now and his Michelin-rated restaurant will be...

ITV2 is set to crown the winner of Big Brother UK 2024 Season 21 after 41 days.
Only six housemates made it to the final, which included Alison “Ali” Bromley, Emma Morgan, Hanah Haji, Marcello Spooks, Nathan King, and Segun Shodipo.
Aj Odudu and Will Best hosted the finale, and after showcasing the housemates having one last dinner, the vote was frozen to announce the two names that would leave in fifth and sixth place.
Segun was first to leave, placing sixth in the competition, followed by Nathan, who placed fifth.
The British public continued to vote for their winner, and after Segun and Nathan spoke to Odudu and Best, the votes were frozen again.
Odudu announced that the housemate finishing in fourth place was Hanah, despite the heavy support from the in-studio audience.
With only three housemates remaining, it was time to freeze the vote one more time. Best revealed that Emma would take third place.

Just when you thought he was finished dragging Emily in Paris during the press tour for his latest movie, Lucas Bravo shared another slight at the fan-favorite, Emmy Award-nominated Netflix original series that helped launch his acting career. And it's a long one.
Following the two-part release of Emily in Paris season 4, Bravo has been openly airing his grievances with the direction his character has taken. Not long after the release of the new season, which saw Emily and Gabriel get together then quickly split, that he didn't agree with the latest version of Gabriel and suggested a distance in his connection with the character.
Most recently, Bravo has been on the promotional circuit for his new movie Libre, and he's honestly answered questions about his role on Emily in Paris, which has thus cast doubt on the possibility that the actor will return for season 5. After calling the show's plots "archaic" and unstimulating,...

“Emily in Paris” star Lucas Bravo said he’s debating returning for the Netflix series’ upcoming fifth season after being “frustrated with the direction” his character, Gabriel, has taken.
“When you love something … you want the best version of it. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been frustrated with the direction by character is taking,” Bravo said in an interview with Indiewire while promoting his upcoming film, “Freedom.” “It makes me question if I want to be part of Season 5 […] because my contract ends at Season 4.”
While Bravo noted “the ‘sexy chef’ was very much part of [him] in Season 1,'” the turns his character has taken in the subsequent installments have created distance between the actor and Gabriel. “I’ve never been so far away from him.” Season 4, which debuted in two parts in August and September, saw Gabriel and Emily (Lily Collins) finally get together for a fleeting moment before breaking up,...

It might be au revoir to Emily in Paris for Lucas Bravo. The 36-year-old French actor is over the “lack of communication” keeping his character, Gabriel, and Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) apart. So much, in fact, that he’s ready for acting jobs outside the Netflix original series as Gabriel and Emily’s “archaic” storyline continues.
Gabriel and Emily’s ‘lack of communication’ is dated to Lucas Bravo
Bravo didn’t hold back in an interview with French publication Le Figaro. The Emily in Paris star, who has played Gabriel since the show began in 2020, shared his frustration about Emily and Gabriel’s romance in season 4, which hit Netflix in August 2024.
“Everything is based on a lack of communication,” he told the publication (via The Independent). Remember when Gabriel ditched skiing newbie Emily on the slopes? Or when he argued with her in French as she stood by unsure of what he said?...

As Emily in Paris fans know and have been anxiously awaiting, the hit Netflix original romantic comedy series was renewed for season 5 back in September. The renewal arrived not long after the season 4 finale, which perfectly set up the next season with Emily's new life in Rome with Marcello and her old life in Paris with Gabriel trying to get her back.
Well, Emily potentially won't have to worry about being wooed by her recent past in season 5 based on an new interview from Gabriel actor Lucas Bravo. While promoting his new movie Libre, Bravo spoke with the French publication Figaro TV Magazine and expressed his newfound disinterest in his role on Emily in Paris. Will he leave the show?
Nothing's official regarding a possible departure from the series, but the actor's latest interview paints a pretty obvious picture about where he stands with the Netflix series that helped launch his career.

After back-to-back seasons of love triangles, miscommunications, and outright deception, Emily in Paris finally has a promising plot to move forward with. Emily (Lily Collins) is trading in her tireless on-again, off-again relationship with Chef Gabriel for a whirlwind romance with Marcello, the rich Italian beau who whisked her off to Rome. She’s also taking on more responsibility at work as she prepares to open the Rome office for Agence Grateau — and she’s even bringing her best friend with her. It’s a win for everyone except for Gabriel and,...

French President Emmanuel Macron isn’t ready to bid au revoir to “Emily in Paris.”
While Emily (Lily Collins) has relocated to Rome in the Season 4 finale of the hit Netflix series, Macron is vowing to bring the production back to France.
“We will fight hard. And we will ask them to remain in Paris!” Macron told Variety. “‘Emily in Paris’ in Rome doesn‘t make sense.”
“Emily in Paris” is confirmed to be moving to Italy for its fifth season as Emily will lead the marketing campaign for new client-slash-suitor Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini). And while it’s still unclear where the series could go next both narratively and in terms of jet-setting, it seems that Macron may have an advantage to bringing Emily once more to Paris: Macron’s wife Brigitte Macron guest-starred on the show.
“I was super proud, and she was very happy to do it,” Macron said of the cameo.

Plot: Follows an ambitious chef as she opens a restaurant on a remote estate where she battles kitchen chaos, crushing self-doubts… and a haunting presence who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.
Review: The restaurant business is murder. If The Menu and The Bear did not give us enough insight into the stress, anxiety, and sheer psychological warfare of being a chef, Gordon Ramsey and every cooking reality competition should have made it abundantly clear that the artisans that create haute cuisine are emotionally broken by the work they love. The latest Blumhouse offering, House of Spoils, takes the work of starting a restaurant to a new level with a tale of supernatural cookery that may have you rethinking any upcoming reservations at a fine dining establishment. Led by Ariana DeBose, House of Spoils presents a conventional horror yarn through a distinctly epicurean lens.

The 2024 Blumhouse film on Amazon Prime, a supernatural horror titled House of Spoils, seemingly focuses on the connections between the art of cooking and the need to be a bit wild, though it does not do a good job at it. The plot here is centered around an unnamed woman, titled only as Chef, who dreams of starting her new business, a destination restaurant, only to realize that the chosen spot is actually an abandoned haunted house with a dark secret. Ultimately, House of Spoils tries to present its message a bit too vaguely and ends up being a rather unconvincing watch.
Spoiler Alert
What is the film about?
House of Spoils begins in the middle of what seems to be an occult ritual, as a pair of hands is seen putting something into a bowl and then kneading it eerily. The object looks very much like raw flesh and...

A film headlining a chef and overtones of witchery are combined in Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy’s “House of Spoils.” The garden both inspires and holds secrets to yesteryear’s terror. What does all the foliage hold in themselves? The directors attempt a dark mystery, but the film squanders it freely, cobbling together a lazy plot that spruces up an explanatory flashback to bolster a story of female agency and determination.
The narrative fizzles out quickly, saved only up to a degree by its lead, Ariana DeBose, who admittedly works a tad too zealously. It’s the case of an actor so stubbornly convinced she can single-handedly rescue a terribly clueless script that her presence, despite being the sole sincere spot, starts to stand out in some other distracting register.

One of the most common questions film critics receive is "What's your favorite movie?" And any critic will tell you that it's a difficult question to answer. Since critics speak to their taste, and gauge a film's quality based on their reaction to it, shouldn't the film they consider the best of all time be their favorite? In a 2012 essay on his website, Ebert rolled the question around in his mind, musing that his old reviewing partner, Gene Siskel, used to say that "Citizen Kane" is the "official" answer to that question. After all, many critics consider it to be the best movie ever made, so surely that means it is their favorite, right?
Of course, we all know that taste doesn't operate that way. A film can be your favorite for any number of reasons. You might consider, say, "Ikiru" to be the best movie ever made, but it...

For the past few years, Netflix has helped lead the charge for traditional romantic comedies to make a rightful comeback. We have been in need of some real levity and heartwarming love stories, the kind that used to make bank at the box office. Now, we're getting some of the best rom-coms in the comfort of our own homes thanks to Netflix with titles like Nobody Wants This.
The romantic comedy series, which stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, centers on a sex and relationships podcast host who doesn't follow any form of organized religion falling head over heels for a traditional Jewish rabbi. As the title suggests, nobody seems to want them together, but their attraction and connection is bigger than the divisions between religion.

Delicious food, darkened bruja folklore, and Ariana DeBose? House of Spoils is a complete meal, albeit smaller bites. Filmmakers Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy lose themselves in witch’s brew of naturalistic psychological horrors, filtered through the cutthroat business of restauranteurship. Don't expect The Menu — Cole and Krudy find salvation in soil borne worship that connects with Mother Nature's literal roots. There's so much power in thematic ideas, yet storytelling feels restrained in unfortunate ways. Cole and Krudy replicate Chef's Table cinematography as immaculate dishes head to tables, juxtaposed against unappetizing rotten visuals. However, there's an apprehension that leaves the audience still craving something more.
Ariana DeBose stars as a driven New York City chef who gambles her career on a scenic upstate restaurant. She ditches Tauras, comfortable paychecks, and her mentor Marcello (Marton Csokas) for entrepreneurial partner Andres (Arian Moayed) and a haunted house in the middle of nowhere.

The latest collaboration between Blumhouse and Amazon, House of Spoils, explores the high stress restaurant environment with a witchy twist. Writer/Directors Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy (Blow the Man Down) deliver a culinary visual feast when it comes to the food and the inner workings of the kitchen, one that happens to be a little haunted. But don’t expect heavy scares in this feminine horror film that feels more like Hell’s Kitchen meets Practical Magic.

Will Netflix’s Emily In Paris get a Season 5? The season four finale left things on a cliffhanger, as usual, so can fans expect something more?
Emily In Paris Is Stamping Her Passport
Emily In Paris is a romance/drama series on Netflix. The series stars Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) as totally happy, working at her marketing company, The Gilbert Group in Chicago. However, when her boss gets the opportunity to go to the office in France but gets pregnant, Emily gets the position.
Now in Paris, she has changed her Instagram to: “@EmilyInParis.” Emily faces challenges like a long-distance relationship and work drama. However, Emily brings her American and young woman perspective to the French marketing company Savoir.

A lot of TV shows start on the wrong foot with the audience, only to quickly revive their image as seasons go on. Emily in Paris is one such show which premiered with fan’s skepticism about frivolity and alleged misrepresentation.
However, against all odds, the show managed to not only thrive but also continue renewing for more seasons. After the release of season four part two on 12 September, Netflix decided to pick it up again for a fifth season. So although the series faced fan scrutiny, it is clear they have found the pulse of their target audience.
TV fans can’t help but love this show: Hate to love it
Netflix’s rom-com drama TV series, Emily in Paris premiered in 2020 and is already on its way to five seasons. However, this Darren Star show has not received support because of its impeccable storyline, quite the opposite actually.

We haven't seen the last of Emily Cooper's adventures in Rome... or Paris. Just three days after the release of Emily in Paris season 4 part 2, Lily Collins assisted Netflix in announcing the official renewal of Emily in Paris season 5. Collins appeared on Good Morning America and had the honor of sharing the exciting news with fans for the first time.
Along with the renewal news coming from the show's Emily herself, Netflix also shared a video clip of Collins taking a sip of tea from a cup with a "5" on the bottom. The renewal announcement video also features an obvious but ever so slight tease about what to expect from season 5. As Collins says in the video, "There's no place like Rome."

Netflix has announced that it is renewing Emily in Paris for a fifth season, following the return of Season 4 on September 12.
Season 4 – which was split into two parts, with Part 1 debuting on August 12 – sees Emily (Lily Collins) embark on a romance with a handsome Italian fashion exec and then move to Italy to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau.
The Season 5 announcement featured a teaser of Emily sitting on rooftop terrace in Rome as she sipped on an espresso, saying, “There’s no place like Rome”, with a wink.
The show’s creator Darren Star confirmed to Deadline last week that the Rome connection is set to continue in Season 5.
“She didn’t change her Instagram handle to Emily in Rome. She is working in Rome sometimes. Sylvie’s company has an office in Rome. Emily’s getting that on its feet,” he said in a Q&a about Season 4B.

Darren Star certainly knows how to keep fans of his shows on edge, and that is precisely what’s being done with Netflix’s Emily in Paris. This show has successfully run the romance, drama/comedy scene for four incredible seasons. While there is no official confirmation on Season 5, fans are concerned with how the storyline capped off during its latest season.

Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, is an American hired by a marketing firm in Paris to provide them with her expertise. However, the character also goes through a series of learning curves, life experiences, and a lot more in the mix. And obviously, why create a television show without a touch of romance in it? But that’s where Darren Star tends to mess it all up.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains plot details for Season 4, Part 2 of “Emily in Paris.”
Good-bye, Emily in Paris. Hello, Emily in…Rome?
Fans of the frothy comedy “Emily in Paris” may have been shocked by the ending of Season 4, Part 2, which dropped on Netflix this week. In the season finale, Emily (Lily Collins) is assigned by her boss Sylvie Grateau (Philippine LeRoy-Beaulieu) to start a new office in Rome, where a sexy new client –– not to mention a sexy new man, Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini) –– eagerly await her presence.
On one hand, it’s a step up for Emily: She’s being promoted to manage her very own office in one of the most romantic cities in the world. On the other hand, she’s leaving behind her friends, primary love interest Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and, in some sense, her viewers. By deploying that plot twist, “Emily in Paris” is indicating that the show,...

“Emily in Paris” might need a name switch after the Season 4 finale saw Emily Cooper choose to make her trip to Rome permanent to head up the Italian office of Agence Grateau.
After Part 1 saw Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) finally get together, their relationship was pulled apart just as soon as it began, with Emily moving on to Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) by the end of Part 2. Her budding new romance was seen as a business opportunity to Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), who hoped to strike a deal with Marcello’s family business and avoid their impending partnership with Jvma.

They say you can’t go home again, but you can elect to stay in Rome for a while if a New Hot Guy hires your company to do PR for his family’s reclusive fashion brand.

Warning: Spoilers ahead from Emily in Paris season 4 part 2.
Both parts of Emily in Paris season 4 brought a lot of changes into Emily's life and where the series could go in the future. She begins the season in the midst of a love triangle — or square, if we're being technical — that had blown up in her face. But by the end of the 10 episodes, she's in a relationship with someone totally new and moving to a completely different European city.
In many ways, Emily in Paris has grown and evolved with its excellent fourth season, and that growth has honestly left a few of its characters in the dust. Two specific characters have essentially become plot devices, and that's more obvious than ever in season 4. Unfortunately, Emily in Paris has progressed past the need for Alfie and Camille, who have overstayed their welcome.

Emily Cooper’s Roman holiday took her not only on a vacation, but also on a new adventure in love and life.
Emily in Paris season four, part one ended with Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) in a great place. Emily Cooper’s adventures in Rome have come to a close for now as the second part of Season 4 of Netflix’s Emily in Paris wrapped up the latest installment of the series.

I don’t know why Emily in Paris season 4 felt like a finale to me, but it seems like I may have been more than a little bit wrong about that. Nothing is confirmed just yet, but with the way things have ended this season, there’s no way they don’t want to keep the IP going. Season 4 part 1 ended on a terribly low note. We learned that Camille wasn’t actually pregnant, and it had been a false pregnancy all along. But to make matters worse, because her girlfriend leaves her and she’s still stuck on Gabriel, she doesn’t admit the truth and pretends to be pregnant, which makes Emily’s life quite hellish, despite no ill intention on Camille’s part. It’s like when the makers heard that Camille’s character development was going to the dogs, they decided they’d make it even worse.

In Emily in Paris season 4 part 1, Alfie kind of got the short end of the stick. Even though he was angry and hurt after what went down at Gabriel and Camille's almost-wedding, he still loved Emily and wanted to repair their relationship. Unfortunately, his attempts to rekindle their relationship were no match for Emily's feelings for Gabriel. Let's just say Alfie will never forget that masquerade party.
Going into season 4 part 2, questions about how Alfie would factor into the story moving forward loomed large, mostly because Emily had chosen Gabriel. Without informing Alfie of her decision, Emily officially decided to go all-in on a relationship with Gabriel. But where would that leave Alfie in Emily in Paris season 4 part 2, especially with Marcello now in the picture, too? Would he still be hung up on Emily or would he move on?
Well, when Emily in Paris season 4 part 2 premiered on Netflix on Sept.

Christmas literally comes early for Emily in Paris fans as the season 4 part 2 premiere brings about that magical time of year for the show’s first Christmas episode!
When we last left off, Gabriel found out he wasn’t as close to getting a Michelin star as he thought but the real shocker came when we learned Camille wasn’t actually pregnant. The surprise reveal left us wondering when she’ll finally come clean and just what impact the truth might have on her relationship with Gabriel… and his relationship with Emily.
Before we get into who ends up on the naughty and nice lists, this is a good place to remind everyone that spoilers are ahead so proceed with caution if you haven’t yet watched the midseason premiere.

I don’t know about you, but new beginnings aren’t always exciting, though sometimes a change of scenery is all one needs to realize the opposite. When Emily in Paris premiered its fourth and, what I somehow presumed was a final season in a first part that seemed like it had already wrapped things up, we all had many questions. What are we going to get 5 more episodes for when Emily and Gabriel are already together and happy?
