Biography

Candice van Litsenborgh is an actress, singer, voice over artist, playwright and photographer.

Candice was born in East London and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She studied at the Rother Swain Drama Studio throughout school and made her professional stage debut in Benjamin Britton's Noye's Fludde immediately after graduating high school. Continuing her studies at the University of Cape Town, she graduated with a BA in Theatre and Performance with an additional focus on Musical Theatre.

She is an award-winning musical theatre performer who has appeared in multiple international tours on three continents. Roles include: Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Shirley in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Jack's Mom in Into the Woods, Trish in Kinky Boots, Emma Goldman in Assassins and Kim Ravenal in Showboat. Other shows include Chess (understudy Svetlana), Annie (understudy Miss Hannigan), Sweeney Todd (understudy Mrs Lovett) and Jesus Christ Superstar (understudy Mary Magdalene).

Television and film roles include Barbra Berman in Just Now Jeffrey, Mother Zero in Resident Evil (Netflix), Esme Smit in Desert Rose (M-Net) and Dorette in both seasons of Recipes For Love and Murder (Acorn TV).

She works regularly as a voice artist, providing the English and sometimes Afrikaans voices for dubbed films and series on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Showmax and Starlife.
