Grew up and raised in East Texas (Diboll). Jimmy started his journey right out of high school in 1989.
After 2 years at a junior college, he graduated in 1992 with a AAP degree in Telecommunications.
Work started off as a video journalist for a small ABC affiliate in Lufkin, Tx. Then as a photographer, editor and ENG Live Truck operator for a CBS affiliate in Austin, Tx in 1995. With dreams of moving to the west coast, Jimmy made the jump in 1997 and moved to Los Angeles. The next 5 years he would freelance as a videographer for the local news stations and also as an entertainment videographer for E! Entertainment TV until 2002.
Jimmy returned to Texas in 2002 when he shot, wrote and produced a self-made OTO documentary in 2002 entitled Texas Haunts & Beyond, which was previously branded as American Ghost Hunts 101. He worked in direct sales for Time Warner Cable and an ADT Security authorized dealer for several years. In 2006 he became an aerial photog for KABC-TV 7 in their news helicopter, AIR 7 HD, where he shot pursuits, wildfires and other breaking news from the air. After that job came to an end, it was back in Texas to work in more sales where he made better money.
In 2014 he launched a Teleprompter company where he scrolled scripts and lyrics for music vocalists, and keynote speakers at conventions and hotel ballrooms. He also ran teleprompter for Hillary Clinton and then President Obama on a couple of occasions. He scrolled for then VP Joe Biden in 2017 and again in 2019.
He also worked for actor Chuck Norris on 4 different projects at his ranch in Navasota, Texas running teleprompter.
In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jimmy moved to Los Angeles for a third time, and hopefully his last. As of October , 2020 Jimmy resides in Toluca Lake, Ca where he continues freelancing as a teleprompter operator and Live Streamer. In March 2021 Jimmy began to study the art of screenwriting and aspires to write scripts for specials, and movies for years to come..
