Avis Murphy is an American actor, originally from the Midwest, with a reputation for unraveling the psyche of characters and bringing underlying emotion to the scene. Murphy earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and, later, a master's degree in education from DePaul. Curiosity eventually led Murphy to acting and she pursued training in Chicago before relocating to LA.
