While Joe Rogan hasn’t shied away from highlighting his stance on politics, the same can’t be said for the UFC commentator’s marriage. Rogan, who has been married to Jessica Ditzel for over a decade at this point, has been quite secretive about his relationship, and his wife herself has expressed her desire to preserve the anonymity.

Two months after pleading guilty to physically attacking a California homeowner, rapper DaBaby won a last-minute delay in his trial over the man’s related battery lawsuit. The rapper, born Jonathan Kirk, hired a new lawyer last week, with the attorney saying he needed time to get up to speed.
The judge who granted the reprieve warned it would be a short-lived suspension considering the underlying lawsuit is three-and-a-half years old. She also pointed out that the parallel criminal conviction means Kirk no longer has Fifth Amendment concerns holding up his expected testimony.

DaBaby accepted a misdemeanor, no-jail plea deal Thursday in his felony battery case involving a California homeowner who claims the “Suge” rapper sucker-punched him when he tried to break up an unauthorized video shoot at his rental property in December 2020.
The rapper, who did not attend the court hearing in person, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery through his lawyer, Blair Berk. Los Angeles County Judge Ray Jurado immediately sentenced DaBaby, born Jonathan Kirk, to one year of probation and time served for the single day he spent in custody upon his 2021 arrest.

Grammy award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion released a new track titled “Hiss” on January 26. Since its release, fans and commentators alike have noted the lyrics appear to be disses of fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.
“These h–s don’t be mad at Megan, these h–s mad at Megan’s Law.”
Megan’s Law is a federal law that requires information about registered sex offenders to be accessible to the public. This line in Megan’s song appears to be a reference to Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a convicted and registered sex offender.
In response to the song, Minaj went on Instagram Live, showing a snippet of a new unreleased song dissing back at Megan.

On Tuesday, Billboard published a piece speculating on why hip-hop hasn’t had a Number One album or single within the first half of 2023. The report set off a flurry of chatter from industry observers and rap fans drawing their own conclusions as to what the answer might be. Is the dearth of rap hits this year a matter of market share, artist deaths, incarceration, or stagnant charts?
Most people who think the occurrence is no big deal are chalking it up to a lack of releases by major rap stars.

DaniLeigh, 28, was arrested and charged with a DUI in Miami Beach, Florida on Tuesday. The incident was an alleged hit-and-run on a man riding a moped that occurred around 2 a.m.
According to the police report, witnesses claimed the singer was speeding in a Mercedes-Benz when she hit the man’s moped and did not stop. They said they attempted to let DaniLeigh know about the moped caught underneath her car, which she had dragged behind her for about a block, but she kept driving.
A police officer got DaniLeigh to pull over, and when he approached the car, he smelled alcohol. DaniLeigh had “sluggish” motor skills, and the passenger in her car seemed to be “highly intoxicated.” The pair were placed into police custody despite DaniLeigh claiming that “she never hit a motorist” and had not “consumed any alcoholic beverages.” Police found an empty tequila bottle in the car.

Toosii delivered the mood on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer and rapper performed his hit single “Favorite Song” flanked by roses, candles, purple-tinged smoke, and a pianist.
The song’s opening was swapped by softer vocals, as opposed to the track’s original synthesized verse, and set the tone for the rest of the song as Toosii sang an effortless rendition of the fan favorite. Accompanied by a band and backup vocalist, the artist slipped off the piano top as he sang the chorus,...

On Nov. 4, 2022, Drake and 21 Savage dropped their highly anticipated joint project, "Her Loss." Upon first listen, I found it to be a commendable addition to their respective portfolios. But then I delved deeper into the project, and I came across something strikingly unsavory as Drake threw passive-aggressive shade at everyone on the record - specifically the livelihood of three Black women: Megan Thee Stallion, Serena Williams, and Ice Spice. One of the Certified Lover Boy's most vicious bits include his lyrics indirectly - but clearly - directed at Megan: "This b*tch lie bout gettin bout' shots but she still a stallion / She don't even get the joke but she still smilin'."

Dave Chappelle won best comedy album at the 2023 Grammys for his most recent special The Closer, which received backlash over material focused on the transgender community.
The comedian took the honor Sunday over Louis C.K. (Sorry), Jim Gaffigan (Comedy Monster), Randy Rainbow (A Little Brains, A Little Talent) and Patton Oswalt (We All Scream). The award serves as Chappelle’s fourth Grammy and follows C.K.’s controversial win last year for Sincerely Louis Ck, his first comedy album since his sexual misconduct revelations.
Chappelle was not in attendance during the Grammys Premiere Ceremony, where the comedy album prize and many of the other Grammy awards this year were presented, so presenter Babyface accepted the award on his behalf.
After Chappelle and C.K. were nominated for the 2023 Grammys, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. told The Hollywood Reporter in part, “We don’t control who the voters vote for.

Released in 2020, the song enjoyed the longest journey to the top spot in Billboard history: 59 weeks. At 91 weeks, it is the longest charting song on the Hot 100 of all time, surpassing “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd. But how did this year’s Record of the Year Grammy nominees fare?
See Will the Grammys do something ‘Unholy’ for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance?

The lead single from her fourth disc, “30,” the song spent 10 weeks atop the chart, the longest of any female artist in the 2020s.

A Florida jury has found DaBaby to be not liable for breach of contract, battery, and defamation in a 6 million federal lawsuit stemming from an incident at a Miami nightclub in January 2020, according to documents obtained by Rolling Stone. The verdict arrived after a five-day trial.
DaBaby countersued plaintiffs Steve Anyadike and Kenneth Carey, the latter is the concert promoter who alleged that the rapper had assaulted him over missing payments for a performance at the venue. While there are quite a few big things we learned from the recent GTA 6 leaks, the leaked media released so far is also filled with fascinating little details. Actually, those who comb through the leaks closely enough will find a few early examples of GTA 6‘s arsenal of weapons, collection of vehicles, and even a few soundtrack selections.
Once again, I have to warn everyone to take these GTA 6 leaks with a slight grain of salt. We now know they are indeed legitimate, but they still represent an early build of a game that is nowhere close to being finished. As such, pretty much everything we think we know about GTA 6 today is subject to change at any point. That’s especially true of some of the smaller leaked details about the game that we’ll be focusing on today.

50 Cent is suing a Miami doctor over allegations that she used a photo of the rapper to wrongly suggest he had penile enhancement surgery in order to promote her plastic surgery clinic.
On Friday (16 September), attorneys for the rapper – real name Curtis James Jackson III – filed a lawsuit claiming that Jackson had “graciously agreed” to take photos with Angela Kogan, only to find out later that the “unscrupulous business owner” had used the picture repeatedly to promote her practice, Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa.
According to the court documents, the 47-year-old rapper claims that things began when Kogan and her companies posted the photos on social media.
However, Jackson says that things took a “disturbing turn” last month when Kogan allegedly manipulated an article on The Shade Room that “shockingly” made the “false insinuation” that he had undergone penile enlargement surgery.

While this year’s festival-goers are still recovering from the hangovers and loss of sleep Reading and Leeds 2022 brought with it this month, festival bosses have already set the cogs in motion for next year’s events.
Tickets for both Reading and Leeds festivals went on sale today, Wednesday 31 August, at 12pm.
Megan Thee Stallion, Dave, Arctic Monkeys, Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975 and Halsey topped the bill at this year’s events, but despite the big names on stage, it was the campsite antics that caught attention across social media.
Tent-burning, objects being thrown and other incidents of disorder were filmed and posted to TikTok as early as the festivals’ first night, culminating on the final day when 50 people were ejected from Reading festival by Thames Valley Police – moral of the story? If you’re camping at the 2023 festivals, be considerate to those around you.
Have any 2023 Reading and Leeds festival acts been announced?...
