Zach Spound is a writer, actor, producer, and an award-winning musical theatre composer. His first full-length musical, LEAP, is the recipient of the NMI/Disney New Voices award. He has also participated in the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project. His music has been heard on stages across New York and Los Angeles, including 54 Below, Green Room 42, Rockwell Table & Stage, and Catalina Jazz Bar.
Zach is also the Music Supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger of the Off-Broadway hit, "Cruel Intentions: The Musical"- a 90s jukebox musical based on the hit film. He also supervised and associate produced the original cast recording with Grammy-award winning music producer Stewart Lerman.
Zach's work as an actor spans 20 years of stage and screen appearances. He recently made his Off-Broadway debut in "The Other Josh Cohen" at the Westside Theatre. He also has appeared in Svec in the musical "Once" at Cape Playhouse and South Coast Rep, and has performed at several regional theatres across the country, including the Geffen Playhouse and La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. He wrote, starred in, and produced a short film, "Vegetables," and appeared in Disney's "Max Keeble's Big Move" as Julius Klinghoffer.
