Gunes Uyanik

Born in Ankara Turkey in 1992, Gunes Uyanik has studied in Ted Ankara College with a full success scholarship and graduated with top marks. While in the high school he also worked in local commercials as a musician and as a guitar teacher.
He studied Computer Science with a full scholarship in Bilkent University, as his final project also got a Best Software Presentation award. While in the University, he put out 3 musicals (as an actor, codirector and arranger/composer) with METU Company and worked in ATMM(Audio technologies in Music and Media) conferences as an organizer with the guidance of Ufuk Önen(AES Europe Leader).
Graduating from the University he went to the Vancouver Film School for Sound Design for Visual Media and got taught by the likes of Primetime Emmy nominated Steve Smith (Tin Man, Stargate Atlantis), Jon Fish(Senior Audio Artist in EA with multiple AAA titles), Jennifer Lewis(Audio Director in Relic Entertainment with multiple AAA titles), multiple award winning mixer Brad Hillman and multiple award winning mixer Robert Hunter. While there, he put out a paper titled "Audio Middlewares in a Programmer's Perspective" as an academic research and advised the game design faculty on using audio middleware Wwise in the projects. Graduating with Honors, he also got the "Best Project" and "Best Collabaration" awards in VFS Game Design faculty as a sound designer.
After that, he got back to Turkey and started working on Mount and Blade: Bannerlord as well as multiple short movies. After his work in there he worked as an Audio Director in GFDS Company and developed promotional movies and VR apps for companies like Aselsan, TAI, Roketsan as well as other Turkish companies. He also continued working as a freelance sound designer. Today he is working at Aselsan as an Audio Programmer and also gives freelance sound design and audio programming services. Some of his other awards include but not limited to Best Audio in an Indie Game(No Heroes Here), Gamescom 2017 Indie Arena Live Award(No Heroes Here) and Apple Store Featured Product(Kebab World - developer).
