Biography

Candis Ortiz was born in Lancaster, California. At a young age, she moved to Puerto Rico, where she spent her formative years and embraced the vibrant culture of the island. Growing up, Candis discovered her love for performing while watching local theater productions and immersing herself in the arts.

However, it wasn't until she relocated to Miami to pursue her passion for flair bartending that Candis had an epiphany that acting was her true calling. Inspired by this newfound ardor, Candis made the decision to move to Los Angeles and started her training under renown acting coach Kay Aston, who worked as Maluma's acting coach on the Jennifer Lopez/Owen Wilson rom-com Marry Me (2022).

In Los Angeles, Candis dedicated herself to attending acting classes, workshops, and auditions. Her natural talent and unwavering determination caught the attention of industry professionals, paving the way for her to gain work as an extra in Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga (2021) and win roles in such shows as Under The Bed (2020), the hit series Animal Kingdom (2022) and the made for T.V. movie Being Angie (2022). With each role she embraced, Candis showcased her versatility, captivating audiences with her dynamic performances and ability to embody diverse characters.
