Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California. We’ve got Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz on commentary so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: The Blackpool Combat Club def. The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) and Bandido The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The Bcc immediately began their beatdown on their opponents. Moxley used his Death Jitsu on Penta El Zero Miedo. Yuta stomped Bandido in the ring, and the match was officially underway. Yuta sat out with a senton on Bandido for a near fall. Bandido rallied back with a delayed vertical suplex on Wheeler Yuta while the Lucha Bros held off Claudio and Moxley. Penta blasted Claudio with a backstabber. Yuta dodged a diving crossbody press from Bandido. Claudio and Moxley spiked Bandido on the arena floor with a piledriver.

It’s one of Aew’s biggest pay per views of the year, it’s Double or Nothing 2023; which was broadcast live from Las Vegas and was a damn sight Less controversial than last year’s event, with even the media scrum going off without a hitch! Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: The Hardys & Hook def. Ethan Page & The Gunns (Austin & Colten) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Hook and Austin locked up, trading wrist control. Hook went for an ankle lock, but Austin grabbed the ropes. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy showed tag team synergy on Austin. And then Hook took out all three members of the opposition with Judo shoulder throws. Hook took Page for a ride with the El Camino. Matt peppered Colten with shots. He followed up with a Side Effect to Austin. Page jumped back in, but he ate a Side Effect from Matt.

Mox began battering Bandido with clubbing shots. Yuta and Trent tagged in and traded forearms. Trent took down Wheeler with a lariat. Claudio suplexed Chuck Taylor. The Bcc utilized quick tags to confuse their opponents. Trent blasted Mox with German suplexes and a half-and-half. All three members of Best Amigos flew over the top rope, wiping out the Bcc on the outside. Back in the ring, Claudio hit a double foot stomp on Trent. The winner earns a shot at the other man’s championship. Claudio ducked a reverse kick from Rey Fenix. Claudio caught a flying Rey Fenix and nailed him with a vicious backbreaker. But then Claudio got bounced around with two tope suicidas from Rey Fenix. The third time was not the charm, though, as Claudio caught Rey and then dropped him across the barricade outside the ring. Rey Fenix walked the top of the barricade and clobbered Claudio with a hurracanrana onto the floor. Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta watched the match on a monitor backstage.

Bandido dropped Orange throat-first across the guardrail. Bandido drove his shoulder into Orange’s midsection. Bandido applied a stretch muffler to Orange Cassidy.
