Gabriela Jaime, daughter of Argentine parents she grew up in Madrid
with a passion for writing stories and the visual arts.
Gabriela moved to London to study Journalism at the University of the Arts London, where she developed her interest for documentaries, fiction and creative writing.
In 2008 Gabriela traveled around South East Asia, working as a volunteer photographer for American nonprofit organization HandReach in China and co-writing and directing a short film "Boxed" in Australia.
Winner of a Fulbright scholarship, she went on to study filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in New York City.
Upon graduating Gabriela began working with Bayard Studios in Brooklyn as a producer and director.
During 2011 Gabriela has been working on developing her documentary "The Darkness Behind Fireworks" taking place in China, as well as filming for the nonprofit organization HandReach, directed by Brecken Swartz.
During this year Gabriela has also published her first collection of poems "Windows into a Short History".
