Novlan’s new project is a movie for Hallmark titled Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle, part of a film series adapted from the novels by Macomber. Mrs. Emily Merkle is a Mary Poppins-type character who helps folks with her magic.

In the film, three siblings are in a conundrum trying to decide which one of them will inherit their late grandmother’s estate, and it’s up to Mrs.

Bold and the Beautiful heartthrob Tanner Novlan is starring in the Hallmark Countdown To Christmas movie Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle. This time around, Rachel Boston is playing the angelic lead character. However, this is not his first Hallmark movie. In 2022, he starred along with Friday Night Lights alum Aimee Teegarden in Christmas Class Reunion.

As the host and co-creator of Hallmark’s first reality competition series, Bennett is hoping to discover the network’s next holiday hunk in Finding Mr. Christmas (premiering Thursday, Oct. 31, exclusively on Hallmark+).

Winning has a long, successful string of Hallmark movies on his resume, but charming rom-coms weren't his first foray into directing.

We had the chance to chat with The More Love Grows director, Heather Hawthorn Doyle, who is currently filming another project for the network, and she shared her insights into bringing this emotional story to life.

The More Love Grows is delightful. What was your initial vision of the writer’s work?

Okay, you know, what I loved about reading this script? Is it hit on all three things that I look for, which is how's it gonna look visually? What kind of actors are we going to be able to put in these roles? And does it move me emotionally?...

This isn’t your typical Hallmark love story. In The More Love Grows (premiering August 18 at 9/8c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries), Rachel Boston stars as Helen, whose husband Paul (Patrick Gilmore) unexpectedly tells her he wants a separation after they move their daughter Aly (Roan Curtis) into her college dorm. As Helen deals with that, a stray dog turns up on her doorstep, which leads her to veterinarian Ben (Warren Christie) … and possibly new love? With “When Calls the Heart” at Hallmark and “When Hope Calls” at Great American Family, Brian Bird is expanding his success with a partnership with UPtv. True Brand Entertainment, founded by Bird, Brandon Clark, Tai Truesdell and Darin Chavez, and the network have a multi-picture licensing agreement, creating a series of uplifting and values-friendly romantic comedies.

The partnership began with “The Engagement Plot,” starring Trevor Donovan and Rachel Boston, which debuted in summer 2022 to record-breaking ratings for UPtv and its streaming service, Up Faith & Family. “The Happy Camper,” starring real-life married couple Daniela Bobadilla and Beau Wirick, premiered to strong ratings on February 5.

The third film in the deal, “Just Jake” starring Brittany Bristow and Rob Mayes, is currently in post-production and is set to debut later this year. All three movies are directed by Clark and produced by Bird, Clark, Truesdell and Chavez. Additional films in the slate are currently in development.

Hallmark Christmas movies remain as cozy as ever, with tree-lighting, cookie-decorating and magical snowfall still the currency of the realm. But since the arrival of Wonya Lucas as the new CEO of Hallmark Media (formerly Crown Media) in 2020, the network’s offerings have branched out in many ways: Lots more diversity, of course — including, this year, Hallmark’s first holiday romance centered on a same-sex relationship and the network’s first film focused on Kwanzaa — but also new and different plots.

The memes show no sign of dying, but the movies themselves don’t always match the traditional roadmap. Two of this year’s new movies didn’t end with a kiss, a change previously unthinkable in Hallmark-land.

How do I know all this? Because I watched all 43 new 2022 Hallmark holiday movies (including the three that premiered in July on Hallmark Channel and the nine that premiered on Hallmark Movies...

It’s officially the first day of fall, which means it’s time to get into the holiday spirit! One month before the launch of Hallmark‘s annual Christmas programming event on Oct. 21, the network has unveiled the full lineup of all its original holiday movie premieres across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Debuting 40 movies this yuletide season as part of Hallmark Channel’s popular “Countdown to Christmas” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Miracles of Christmas” events, network favorites Lacey Chabert (who stars in her record 12th Hallmark Christmas film), Alison Sweeney, Holly Robinson Peete, Jodie Sweetin, Jonathan Bennett, Luke Macfarlane, Marilu Henner, Nikki DeLoach, Rachel Boston, Ryan Paevey, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Taylor Cole and Tyler Hynes are back to lead new romances, among dozens of other familiar faces.

We're still promoting Hallmark's latest royal holiday movie, A Christmas Carousel.

Neal Bledsoe plays the royal in question, Prince Wittaker, who discovers there is a lot of love in the world when you get to look beyond the walls of Ancadia.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that Rachel Boston's Lila gets called to the royal republic to help restore the beloved Ancadian carousel.

It's funny that Neal is playing a stodgy Prince when we first meet him in the film because he is as far from that description as you can get.

Our interview started with Neal connecting with me by name, finding something to say about my hometown (Go Steelers!), and joking around about his new royal title.

After we joked about retaining access to the Prince costume for special occasions, such as enriching Christmas with the family, Neal jumped headfirst into A Carousel Christmas, inquiring about...

A Christmas Carousel is a new royal-themed holiday moving starring Rachel Boston.

Rachel took time out of her busy schedule to chat with us about the movie and her Christmas plans.

Known for her kindness, Rachel is warm and generous of her time, which is at a premium these days. We caught up with her just after she filmed a segment for Hallmark Channels Home & Family.

Rachel was part of a cooking segment, promoting Christmas with a dish featuring apple and fennel. Yum!

"Promoting Christmas right around Christmas has been remarkably exciting because you're already in the mood," Rachel said. Very often, filming for Christmas entertainment is done when the weather is anything but a chill in the air.

Not with A Christmas Carousel, though. "Actually this was the closest to Christmas I filmed so wearing the winter coats, it was actually winter," Rachel said. "It was really fun to be truly in the spirit.
