- Herb Sheldon succeeded Sandy Becker as the second host/performer of WABD TV Ch.5 NYC's "Bugs Bunny Theater" on Monday June 30, 1958. The show was later retitled "Bugs Bunny Presents". Sheldon continued to MC the show weekday evenings on WABD TV in NYC until Friday August 1, 1958.
- Herb Sheldon hosted two "Looney Tunes Shows". The first, "Looney Tunes Show", was seen Saturday evenings on WABD TV Ch. 5 in NYC from Saturday July 5, 1958 to Saturday August 2, 1958. "The Second Looney Tunes Show" was seen weekday mornings on WOR TV Ch. 9 in NYC from Monday September 14, 1959 to Friday September 16, 1960. On Monday September 19, 1960, the show was retitled "The Herb Sheldon Show". It remained on the air on WOR TV in NYC until Friday May 18, l962.
- Herb Sheldon's last childrens' TV show was "The Mischief Makers", which was seen weekday evenings on WOR TV Ch. 9 in NYC from Monday September 19, 1960 to Friday June 9, 1961. Mr. Sheldon entertained and informed his viewers in between the reruns of "The Silent Our Gang" film comedies.
- Herb Sheldon has four children: daughters Lynda and Amy and sons Guy and Randy. He nicknamed his wife, Rosa, "Toots".
- After retiring from television in 1962 he owned a steakhouse and two theater playhouses in Syosset and Montauk on Long Island in New York.
