Alejandro Chapa was born as David Alejandro Chapa Guzman in Monterrey, Mexico. His father is a rancher and his mother a teacher.
He started his acting career in community theatre. Then, while studying Criminology at the University of Nuevo León (UANL), he turned to modelling. He's done both print and catwalk for a national department store, with ads featured across Mexico. After graduating from UNAL, he left his artistic endeavours to study Law while also working for an insurance company. He then left both the law and insurance to work full-time as a mortgage professional in the banking sector.
After a serious car accident on the way to work, he decided to leave his corporate job and move to Vancouver, Canada.
After a few years of working in the trades, Alejandro discovered a group of like-minded Spanish speakers who hosted a local radio show, and he joined them. He's been producing, directing and hosting shows as Yucastereo, Radio Alicia and Vancouver Hispano on CJSF 90.1 FM with guest appearances on The Morning After Show on 101.9 FM CITR. Alejandro is back acting and modelling with print work and in music videos He started exploring the local acting scene
Alejandro also did a brief stint in Vietnam, where he did some modelling work and acted in a couple of short films like Heavenly BLUE directed and written by Fernando Ramos.
After Vietnam He is back in Vancouver where he is acting again and getting his first roll in a Canadian film Roads of Ithriyah feature by Javier Badillo where he plays the mysterious Venezuelan.
