First the History channel and now Predator X will be heading to the swamps of Louisiana. Xtenction: Predator X will bring our old friend the dinosaur into the now, so to speak.
Elena Lyons, Lochlyn Munro, Mark Sheppard and rapper Paul Wall all star in the newest announced creature feature that will be helmed by Amir Valinia. the movie is being distributed by Marvista Entertainment and looks like it would fit right on to the Syfy lineup. I love these crazy movies!

The History Channel premiered a TV special titled "Predator X" back in 2009 unveiling the recently discovered fossils of the largest prehistoric sea monster on record: a 50-foot Pliosaur with the head of a T-Rex, the body of a giant whale, and enormous flippers.
I knew the moment I saw that special I'd being seeing a Predator X movie, most likely on Syfy, in the near future. Here it comes.
Xtinction: Predator X brings the ginormous dinosaur into the 21st century with monstrous results. Though the fossils may have been discovered beneath the polar ice caps, this no longer extinct dino calls the Louisiana swamps its home. Who can blame it? I hear the tax breaks are fantastic.
When her father seemingly goes missing, divorcee Laura LeCrois is forced to return home after a 20-year hiatus. However, home is not the way Laura remembers it. Her father is in major debt with the bank,...

Does claustrophobia set in easily for you? Then you may want to steer clear of the video aisles of your favorite stores as last year's intense buried alive flick (starring the future Green Lantern) is coming on home.
Being that this is another light week release wise, you don't have too many other options. That is unless you're in the mood for high speed chases featuring coffin-looking vehicles that could end up causing just as much anxiety.
Or maybe you'd just like to find comfort in another Roger Corman fest from a kinder, gentler era - a triple treat that has nothing to do with coffins. Yay!
Buried (Blu-ray Review)
Directed by Rodrigo Cortés
Starring Ryan Reynolds, and the voices of Samantha Mathis, Erik Palladino, José Luis García Pérez, Robert Paterson, Stephen Tobolowsky
Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up six feet underground with no...

A music video to promote Paul Wall's single "I Need Mo" has just been debuted. The more than four minutes footage opens with the hip-hop performer doing a toast with some of his male and female friends in a room full of boxes and money.
The scene then switches capturing him singing the tune in front of what looks like to be a mini market. Afterwards, Paul who wears all-black outfit is videotaped getting behind the wheel of car with a sexy female companion sitting on the passenger seat.
Fellow music star Kobe is seen singing his verses in front of a huge screen. Drummer Travis Barker also makes an appearance in the music video. He is seen working in a recording studio with Paul.

A music video filmed to promote Paul Wall's single "Got to Get It" from his fourth studio album "Fast Life" has just made its way out. It is directed by Mike Fair from Swishahouse, and features people doing different activities, such as playing with shopping carts, having barbecue, and cooking in the kitchen.
Beside having a video for "Got to Get It", Paul Wall has also shot a music video in support of another single called "I Need Mo". For this project, he brings in Travis Barker from Blink-182 as well as his collaborator Kobe.
The video, which will be premiered sometime soon, is directed by Amir Valinia by using Apple iPhone 3Gs as the camera. "This is the first time a major music video with major artists will be shot exclusively using the Apple iPhone 3Gs as the camera. We wanted to do something that was more than just unique.

I’m a little late in writing up my review of North American’s Carnivorous DVD, which came out yesterday, and I have to confess that I’m feeling a little guilty about it. Actually, I’m not to blame for the delay, but for some reason I feel responsible. I guess I’ve always had a bit of a Good Will Hunting complex, and what I could use right now is for Robin Williams to hug and comfortingly repeat to me, “It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault.”
But since that ain’t happening anytime soon, I might as will get started on my critique. So here’s the explanation for this tardy review: Although I had already watched Carnivorous on a screener DVD, I had to wait for the final product to arrive in order to listen to and remark upon director Amir Valinia’s audio commentary,...

I've been clocking Amir Valinia's Mutants (not to be confused with David Morley's Mutants) for a while now and I'm honestly not sure why I've never posted anything on it yet. I mean, while it looks pretty budget it's got scifi mainstay Michael Ironside in it and that's gotta count for something right (go Rough Necks!)
A mad scientist is hired by a greedy sugar manufacturer to create an additive designed to be the most addictive substance in the world. Instead, he engineers it to turn human beings into killer mutants, and only the company’s security head & his girlfriend can stop the plague from spreading worldwide.
We've got some sales art, a couple of alternative posters, and the film's trailer after the break.
