Born to krishnapoduval, a teacher and Narayani Amma on December 15th 1970 at Payyanur, Kannur District in the state of Kerala. He graduated in physics from payyanur college in the year 1991.
After graduation, Suresh Poduval worked with All India Radio, Kozhikode as temporary announcer. He joined 'Kala Kaumudi'daily as proof reader, Mumbai, In 1992. In 1993 he held the post of sub- editor with Manorajayam weekly in Kochi. He was working in the Adminstrative department of Malayala Manorama daily, Kozhikode in 1994. He enrolled at Kozhikode Bharath Vidya Bhavan for Journalism in 1995 and has a diploma.Poduval Entered in the Malayalam Film industry as a script writer through the film 'manthrikumaran on 1998, where mukesh and sangeetha played the lead roles. He tied the nuptial knots on 27 th April 2009.Wife Umadevi from kanhangad. Only daughter Ithal is now studying in 5th standard.
