Reuben Dodd

Reuben Dodd is a 15 year old actor born in Santa Monica, CA known for I Still Believe (2020). At age 10, Reuben was discovered by Zuri Agency for their Adaptive Division, launching him into his first role, which he won on his very first theatrical audition, for sitcom Teachers (2016). Shortly after, Reuben was cast as himself in the Democratic Party's public service announcement, "I Will Vote" for the 2016 midterm elections. In 2019, Reuben's breakthrough feature film role came when cast as Josh Camp in the movie I Still Believe (2020), which is based on the true story of Christian music mega star Jeremy Camp. Reuben joins an incredible cast including KJ Apa, Gary Sinise and Shania Twain. In the same week Reuben was cast in the lead role of Danny, in Mercedes Mason's directorial short film debut, The Bridge.
Reuben appeared as background in the epic hippie festival scenes of Jesus Revolution in 2023.
Reuben was awarded the Indie Fest Best Young Actor award 2021 for his lead role in The Bridge alongside Sara Rue.
Reuben has been studying musical theater, performing as Uncle Henry in Wizard of Oz, and teen ensemble, dance and chorus in the full Broadway length productions of Mary Poppins and Cinderella.
Reuben modeled for Target on the first Runway of Dreams adaptive fashion show in historic Downtown Los Angeles.
Reuben has CHARGE Syndrome, one of the most complex medical and multi sensory diagnosis. He has endured 21 surgeries include two open hearts, tracheotomies and a gtube. He has spent more than a year in the ICU battling these medical challenges. Reuben is severely-profoundly deaf and uses a Cochlear implant. His first language was ASL.
When he's not on set, Reuben's a dedicated student with a passion for math. He started classical training for piano at age 6. Reuben loves to play chess, dance, sing and entertain with his unique and mature approach to stand up comedy, a talent which has no doubt seen him through his traumatic medical challenges.
For sport, Reuben relishes winter in LA and skiing through the USARC adaptive program. He enjoys soccer through AYSO, swimming and snorkeling. Reuben is a born, curious explorer and world traveler, having toured 25 countries to date with his family. He lives in Los Angeles.
