Nicholas Foran is an Australian-American actor, singer, and light/sound designer.
Born in May 1985 in Gosford, New South Wales he began singing on stage from a very young age as a member of various regional and national choirs before moving into musicals, performing with the Sydney Youth Musical Theater (SYMT) company in his teens.
At University he transitioned into more comedic forms, performing in various plays, sketch and improv shows. He was performing stand-up and sketch regularly in Sydney during this time at various venues as well as joining the comedic band MANCHOIR which led to performances on television and various music festivals. His stand-up lead to him being one of 2Day FM's finalists in their Comedy God stand-up competition and in 2011 he performed to sold out houses at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival alongside fellow comedian Chris North.
In 2013 he moved to Los Angeles, California to continue his comedic and acting work, studying at The Groundlings as well as becoming graduating alumni at iO West before he was offered a scholarship to train at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in 2017 where he continues to train and design their in-house productions.
His time in Los Angeles led to him becoming one of the the more in demand theater designers and stage managers in the Los Angeles theater and comedy communities, leading to technical supervisor roles in various theaters and comedy spaces around town.
Residing in Los Angeles he is pursuing acting, design and comedic opportunities in both Australia and the US.
