- Writer
- Producer
Sports, magic, and acting have brought Paul Jene from Racine, Wisconsin
to working in TV and film in Hollywood, California.
Paul packed his belongings up and moved to Los Angeles, California on January 1, 2004 and it paid off when he landed a co-starring role as hockey player Mike Sears on ABC's The Practice after being in Los Angeles for only two months. Since then, Paul has appeared on Pro's vs. Joe's on Spike TV, Storm on the Horizon on the History Channel, Extreme Dodgeball on the Game Show Network, and in various other projects.
A 1994 graduate of Greenfield High School, Paul joined the Wisconsin Air National Guard during his senior year. After taking a few years off from school, he headed off to St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he also became a United States Army Cavalry Scout. Midway through his freshman year, Paul had a short discussion with the theatre director at SCSU. Paul quickly realized that the school did not have the theatre training programs he needed. He finished out his year taking the general required college courses and returned home to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts to pursue his Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre, which he obtained in 2003. While working on his degree, Paul modeled and worked in Milwaukee and Chicago.
Paul's father, Jeffrey Sr., is a Senior Draftsman at Rockwell Automation and an avid train enthusiast. Paul's mother, Mary, is a published poet and an award-winning cake decorator and florist.
Paul has two older siblings. His brother, Jeffrey Jr., is an award-winning magician and master illusionist of over 20 years and has won two different Houdini awards. Paul's sister, Barbara, was a top ten semi-finalist in the 1997 Miss Wisconsin USA pageant.
Paul and his siblings grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, where his fascination with the world of entertainment began. Paul joined his brother's magic production and became Jeffrey's stage manager and handled security, special effects, music, lighting and even performed on a main stage at Summerfest.
Paul lives in Hollywood, California where he continues his work in TV and film.
