José Luis Pecharromán was born in Madrid in 1970. He studied Cinematography at the newly founded ECAM (Madrid Film School), entering the first class. He previously graduated from the Faculty of Information Sciences (Complutense University of Madrid), a stage in which, in parallel, he completed his audiovisual training in different public and private centers of recognized prestige: Official Institute of RTVE, TAI and CES.
Since 1997, after his time at ECAM, he began working as a Cinematographer for the most important producers and in all production formats, being the visual creator of such emblematic series as "Herederos" and "La Otra Mirada" for TVE , or "Mar de Plástico" for Atresmedia, fiction TV series for which he has been widely recognized among the public, the industry and the profession. Other series in which he also worked as a Cinematographer are «Unauthorized Living» for Mediaset and Netflix, «Promesas de Arena» for TVE or «Hernán» for Amazon Prime Video.
In 2017 he entered as an active member in the AEC (Spanish Society of Cinematographers).
