- Jay Allen Sanford is a writer and cartoonist best known for his work with Revolutionary Comics, Carnal Comics, Pacific Comics, and the San Diego Reader, where he has been a columnist and cartoonist since 1994. He began writing the comic book Rock 'N' Roll Comics in 1989 and the publishing company he co-founded, Carnal Comics, is best known for the movie and cartoon character Demi the Demoness.
Sanford creates two weekly comic strips for the San Diego Reader, "Overheard in San Diego" and "Famous Former Neighbors". His writing and research duties for MTV and VH1 includes TV specials like 100 Shocking Music Moments, 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders, Behind the Music, I Love the '70s, and the 2011 revival of the Pop-Up Video series.
Sanford has also scripted several films, as well as appearing as himself in the 2005 documentary film Unauthorized and Proud Of It (released on DVD as The Story of Rock 'N' Roll Comics), alongside Alice Cooper, Mojo Nixon, and underground cartoonist and painter Robert Williams.- IMDb Mini Biography By: SS Crompton
