We've been waiting on this for the past three years, but Severance finally returns to Apple TV+ with its highly anticipated second season on January 17. Now, we have a trailer (via SFFGazette.com) and it raises some big questions about how this next batch of episodes will deal with season 1's massive cliffhanger.
In the sneak peek, Adam Scott's Mark S. returns to the office after his "innie" got a taste of the outside world and learned his wife, who he believed had died in a car accident, is working in Lumon as wellness counsellor Ms. Casey.
After coming face-to-face with a new gang of employees, the sinister and creepy Milchick welcomes Mark back to work with some very interesting-looking balloons.

It's been well over two years since we last checked in on Mark (Adam Scott), Dylan (Zach Cherry), Irving (John Turturro), and Helly (Britt Lower), four "severed" workers toiling away in the basements of Lumen Industries, doing they know not what. For reasons we have yet to fully understand, the foursome underwent a procedure that made it so they remember nothing of their outside lives while at work, and vice versa. They've basically been split into two people: their work selves and their home selves, and their work selves have gotten pretty freaking tired of devoting the whole of their existance to labor.
The first season ended with a thrilling cliffhanger where the work personalities escaped into the real world, if only briefly. What happens next? Well, in the trailer, Mark S. finds himself back in the bowels of Lumen, racing through the eerily samey hallways until he bursts back...

Welcome back to Lumon.
After nearly three years, “Severance” is back with the first trailer for its highly anticipated Season 2, debuting on Apple TV+ on Jan. 17.
In the trailer, Adam Scott’s Mark S. returns to the office after exposing his “innie” to the outside world and learning that his wife (who he thought died in a car accident) is actually alive, and working at Lumon as the wellness counselor Ms. Casey.
After frantically dashing down those stark-white hallways, Mark enters his workspace to find three unfamiliar Lumon employees — sitting in the desks formerly occupied by Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro) and Dylan (Zach Cherry). His delightfully creepy manager Milchick (Tramell Tillman) welcomes him back to the office with balloons adorned with Mark’s face.

“Severance” Season 2 finally has teased more of what’s to come for the enslaved Lumon employees, led by Mark (Adam Scott). Along with Mark, coworkers Dylan (Zach Cherry), Helly (Britt Lower), and Irving (John Turturro) are all “learning the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe,” according to the official synopsis.
Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, and Christopher Walken all also return, with Sarah Bock promoted to series regular.
Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Bob Balaban, and more stars are joining the cast for Season 2, as announced in April 2022.
Arquette previously warned that audiences should be “very scared” of the Season 2 story arc, but it still remains mostly under wraps even after a first look debuted earlier this year.

It’s been a minute, but “Severance” is almost back.
On Wednesday, Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for Season 2 of the Emmy-winning drama, which returns on Friday, Jan. 17, nearly three years after it premiered in February 2022. The trailer sees Mark (Adam Scott) frantically running through Lumon’s pristine white hallways intercut with quick snippets of Season 2 scenes. He eventually arrives at his old workspace, where a new group of people, including one played by Alia Shawkat, have replaced Helly (Britt Lower), Irving (John Turturro), and Dylan (Zach Cherry).
““Welcome back, Marcus,” Seth (Tramell Tillman) says, walking in with a handful of blue balloons with Mark’s face on them. “Been a minute.”

Well, if you’re a fan of corporate overreach and feelings of impending doom, then life in 2024 is probably right up your alley.
And the first trailer for Severance Season 2 is keeping the creepy vibes going with more of the stark white hallways and fluorescent lighting that first gave us the heebie-jeebies back in 2022.
Yes, it’s been a long wait for more episodes — but few series reward patience as well as this one.
(Apple TV+)
That said, if you were hoping for a ton of plot info from the latest Severance trailer … well, we’re afraid you’ll have to do a bit more waiting.
If you’re a fan of the series, then you probably recall its twister premise:
Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, a company whose employees have undergone a procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives.

Today, Disney+ revealed the trailer and key art for Out of My Mind in partnership with World Cerebral Palsy Day, a global movement celebrated on Oct. 6. Out of My Mind, a Disney Original movie based on the bestselling novel by Sharon M. Draper, premiered earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival and arrives Nov. 22 on Disney+.
Melody Brooks, a sixth grader with cerebral palsy, has a quick wit and a sharp mind, but because she is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair, she is not given the same opportunities as her classmates.
When a young educator notices her student’s untapped potential and Melody starts to participate in mainstream education, Melody shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it.
The film stars newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Melody, alongside acclaimed actors Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby, Michael Chernus, Courtney Taylor, and Judith Light. Jennifer Aniston portrays Melody’s inner voice.

Back in June, it was announced that Michael Chernus (Severance) had been cast to play serial killer John Wayne Gacy in the Peacock limited series Devil in Disguise, which is inspired by the 2021 Peacock docuseries John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise, produced by NBC News Studios. Now Variety has revealed the names of five more cast members. They are: Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us), James Badge Dale (1923), Michael Angarano (Red State), Chris Sullivan (Mercy), and Marin Ireland (Hell or High Water).
Gacy murdered 33 young men between 1972 and 1978. According to Variety, this limited series will peel back the twisted layers of Gacy’s life while weaving in heartrending stories of his mostly gay victims; exploring the grief, guilt, and trauma of their families and friends; and exposing the systemic failures, missed opportunities and societal prejudices that fueled his reign of terror.
As mentioned, Gacy is set to be played by Chernus.

Good news: "Severance" is finally returning for season 2! Bad news: it won't return until next year. For reference, the first season of the hit Apple TV+ series dropped in 2022, which feels like several lifetimes ago at this point. And look, I get it — the Hollywood strikes played a part in the delay. But having your second season arrive three full years after season 1 is a little crazy. But at least that gives everyone plenty of time to go back and rewatch season 1 to refresh their memories.
Speaking of memories, "Severance" is a wild show about a group of people who have "surgically divided" their memories between work and home. When they go to work, a whole new mindset kicks in, and when they go home, they have no memory whatsoever of what they did all day. As you might imagine, this leads to complications and moral questions, especially when a new hire makes it very,...
