Courtney Sanello
- Director
- Actress
- Producer
Courtney was born in Atlantic Beach, New York and raised there, living by the ocean until heading off to college at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating Emory's Goizueta Business School, double majoring in Marketing and Organization & Management (B.B.A.), She stayed in Atlanta, swiftly rising through the ranks in the Advertising world.
Courtney had not gone to Drama School before she became an actress. Only after her 1st Principal Role in a Feature Film was shelved indefinitely, was she driven to create and complete her 1st Film short. This was Courtney's first venture into the world as a writer, let alone a screenplay writer.
Filming her 1st short, she noticed something different in her Director and Co-Star; a certain quality of behavior that she did not yet have: Technique. Curiously inquiring each colleague separately, Courtney discovered that both studied the Meisner Technique at The William Esper Studio (NYC), graduating 10 years apart from one another.
Courtney can now proudly say she is a Graduate from The William Esper Studio's Meisner Technique Two-year Intensive Full Time Program.
Her first audition after Esper, Courtney nabbed the Lead, as Dolly Parton (Doralee Rhodes) in "9 to 5" The Musical, based on the 1984 film of the same title.
Outside of her Acting Profession, Courtney is a commissioned self-taught Fine Artist and gets to her happy place by staying close to the Ocean.
