Bijan Mirbagheri attended art school and graduated with high honors in sculpture in 1998. That same year, he entered the University of the Arts and continued his studies in cinema.
His career in the film industry began in his early twenties. Over the years, he has been active as a director, editor, producer, and writer. His movies and TV series have been nominated and have won several prizes at national and international film festivals. One of his most notable awards is the Silver Leopard for the film "We Are All Fine" at the Locarno Film Festival in 2005.
The result of his nearly three-decade-long activity in various cultural and cinematic fields includes:
Directing over eight feature films and videos, Editing more than ten short films, series, and documentaries, Writing and directing five series, Writing and directing eleven short films and animations, and three documentaries, Producing several documentaries and films, Executive managing various festivals and charity exhibitions, Judging in dozens of film festivals, including the most prestigious festivals held in Iran, such as the Fajr International Film Festival and the International Film Festival for Children & Youth.
