On Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon announced the return of the Fallon Book Club—with a March Madness-inspired twist.

The host has selected sixteen books to compete in an NCAA tournament-style bracket that will crown a single author, whose book will then serve as the next selection for members of the Fallon Book Club.

Viewers visiting www.fallonbookclub.com can vote up to 10 times per round, each of which is timed to the NCAA’s March Madness schedule.

Winners of each round will be revealed on The Tonight Show and across its digital platforms, including a dedicated @FallonBookClub Instagram account.

Exclusive: Miramax Television and Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell’s Stone Village are teaming to develop a series adaptation of Alex Michaelides’ upcoming novel The Maidens. British writer-actor Morwenna Banks (Damned) is attached to pen the adaptation.

In the book, which Celadon Books will publish on June 15, when her niece’s best friend is murdered, a brilliant but troubled therapist travels to Cambridge to comfort her. But her alma mater has changed, and a cult like group of students led by a new professor has overtaken the culture.

Annapurna and Plan B have optioned Alex Michaelides’ debut novel The Silent Patient which they will develop as a feature film.

Sue Naegle and Ivana Lombardi will oversee the project for Annapurna.

Hot off their Indie Spirit Award win for best feature for “If Beale Street Could Talk,” Annapurna and Plan B have set their next film project with an adaptation of Alex Michaelides’ best-selling novel “The Silent Patient.”

As part of their three-year production pact, the companies have optioned the rights to the novel published under Celadon Books, a division of Macmillan.

Sofia Vergara, Stephen Fry, Tim Roth, Parker Posey, Alice Eve and Maggie Q will join Uma Thurman in the indie comedy “The Brits Are Coming,” it was announced Thursday by producers Jc Chandor, Cassian Elwes, Robert Ogden Barnum and Dave Hansen. James Oakley is directing from a script he co-wrote with Alex Michaelides. Production is currently under way in New York City. The broad comedy follows an eccentric British con-artist couple, Harriet (Thurman) and Peter Fox (Roth), who flee to Los Angeles to escape paying a large debt to a notorious gangster named Ivanka (Maggie Q) after a failed poker game.

New cast additions to the film, currently shooting in New York, include Parker Posey, Maggie Q, Alice Eve, Stephen Fry and Sofia Vergara. Fortitude International handles international sales.

As previously announced Uma Thurman also stars and James Oakley directs from the screenplay he co-wrote with Alex Michaelides about married con artists who land in deeper trouble when they flee to Los Angeles from a gangster.
