Viola Davis, who plays U.S. President Danielle Sutton in upcoming action thriller feature “G20,” says she didn’t model the role after anyone in particular.

“There was no one that I could model her after,” she told Variety Thursday before the awards ceremony for the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, where she will be honored for her career as an actor and producer.

The film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and MRC Film, sees terrorists take over the G20 Summit, with Sutton bringing her statecraft and military experience to defend her family, fellow leaders and the world.

Madix will appear as herself in an episode of the ABC procedural. In the episode, Madix is in Atlanta for work while also helping to stage an intervention for a friend. She hires Det. Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) to help work security for the intervention.

This will not be the first time Madix has played herself in a scripted TV series. The procedural's fans are still reeling from the wild season 2 finale. Angie (Erika Christensen) realized that it was her young protegee Crystal who'd been killing sex offenders as revenge for a past attack. Crystal accidentally died with Angie trying to cover her crimes.

But Will (Ramón Rodriguez) figured out not just that but that Angie had lied about killing the abuser Lenny when it was Crystal who did it. After briefly imagining keeping this quiet so he and Angie could have a life together, Will was forced to arrest her for evidence tampering and false testimony.

Sometimes, the teams have merged to solve challenging crimes or because one of their own was in danger.

Written by Casey Johnson and David Windsor, Not Dead Yet centers on newly single and feeling-old Nell Serrano (Rodriguez), a self-described disaster who works to restart the life and career she left behind 10 years ago. A once-successful journalist, Nell put her career on hold to help her fiancé get his restaurant off the ground. Following their breakup, she takes the only job she can get – writing obituaries – which at first seems like a step backward but ultimately might be exactly what she needs to move forward.

Exclusive: A reimagination of the Charlie’s Angels franchise for tweens set in Brazil is in development from Sony Pictures Television – Kids and Sony Pictures Television-backed Floresta.

Viewers can expect the same high-octane action and comedy from the various Charlie’s Angels projects as well as a mysterious boss and empowered young female characters.
