Flora Genet

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia thatÂ’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. IrvingÂ’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. RussellÂ’s previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes.

Directed by David O. Russell. Written by Eric Warren Singer and David O. Russell. Produced by Charles Roven, Richard Suckle, Megan Ellison, and Jonathan Gordon.

Flora Genet began her acting career as Floyd Richardson in Omaha, Nebraska in the early 70s. She worked in local theater while in high school. Her travels took her through the south and up the east coast before settling in Boston, Massachusetts. She studied in many places, getting parts in plays along the way. Upon settling in Boston, Ms. Genet began to get background work and small roles in Spenser for Hire, a TV series for ABC. She received her first IMDB credit for the short film The Mirakle, directed by Roberto Bentivegna. As Floyd Richardson she got a range of roles in many theater productions and continued to work in film. Mr. Richardson finally landed a small role in Richard Kelly's The Box. In 2019 Floyd Richardson transitioned from male to female and became Flora Genet. Ms. Genet has created her own projects and resides in Austin, Texas.
