June 14, 2010: ‘Ek Second… Jo Zindagi Badal De?’ – This was the title of the film which released last week. Well, not a single life changed actually (except for may be the producer’s) once the film hit the screens. Manisha Koirala is semi retired and is getting married. Jackie Shroff is now seen only on and off and mostly in inconsequential roles which is a pity for a talent like him. Nikita Anand may just have given up hopes that the film would ever see a release, courtesy a two year delay. Director Partho Ghosh is unknown to the current generation. The only impact would be on producer.

June 11, 2010: Having missed the press show of the film, it was a tough job on my part to convince the multiplex staff to play this film which had no audience but just myself because I had to review this film. While they almost decided to cancel the show, they finally kept it on as two couples came in for the show, confident of seeking solace in the empty hall. Now if that, my dear friends, hasn’t.

Director Partho Ghosh's Ek Second - Jo Zindagi Badal De opens this Friday June 11th. The film stars Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Nikita Anand, Muammar Rana, Rozza Catalano, Agastyaa Singh, Hanbir Malik, and Suniel Singh.

Synopsis: There is a proverb which says that whatever is written in one’s destiny in some way or the other actually happens. But if we fight against it, and make the incident happen in a different way- then what? Manisha Koirala plays parallel roles in the film and the story looks at what happens in her life based on a second, a decision, but not just the one way, it also looks at what would happen if she had made a different decision in that one second, how would her life be different?

New Delhi, June 7 – After starring together in movies like ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Agni Sakshi’, ‘Grahan’ and ‘Lajja’, Bollywood actors Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff will be sharing screen space again in ‘Ek Second Jo Zindagi Badal De’, which releases Friday.

Produced by Sunil Singh and Agastyaa Singh for Rs.4 crore, the thriller has been directed by Partho Ghosh. Also starring Aman Verma, Nikita Anand, Pakistani actor Moammar Rana and Roza Catalano, it is releasing worldwide with 300 prints.

Manisha, who was last seen in the Bengali movie ‘Khela’ in 2008, plays a complex.

Jimmy Shergill has been signed by newly turned director Anwer Khan for his debut venture. Rajpal Yadav, former Miss. India Nikita Anand, Sushant Singh and Murli Sharma have also been roped in this untitled venture.

Anwer Khan after assisting Ketan Desai and Latif Khan in ‘Allah-Rakha’ and ‘Insaaf Apne Lahoo Se’ respectively will start his innings in direction with this film. The untitled venture went on floors yesterday.
