Jay Shirtz(I)

Jay Shirtz is an award winning Texas screenwriter, poet and playwright, as well as a Certified Final Cut Pro Editor. Raised in Dripping Springs, Texas, Jay headed to the University of North Texas and earned a bachelor's degree in Theatre. After he received his degree he decided to pursue his art in New York City. Donning his cowboy boots and lone star belt buckle, Jay became affectionately known as Tex. With his Texas charm and incredible work ethic, he became the artistic director of 3 Equity houses. Although financially successful, Jay's Texas roots became dry in NYC, and he moved to Dallas, Texas to be where he knew his heart was. Since back in his home state, Jay was screenwriter on the film Red Ridge which won the New York Independent Film Festival. Jay has also directed shorts, music videos, educational films, and commercials.
