Colin Aussant is a Toronto-based screenwriter and story editor with a bent for comedy, dramady, thrillers and anything with a little edge and originality.
He is the co-writer of The Invisibles, a feature film directed by Andrew Currie (Quadrant Pictures) and starring Tim Blake Nelson, Gretchen Mol and Bruce Greenwood.
He is the co-creator/writer on Holmes, one-hour drama series (CTV, Circle Blue Entertainment); and former projects include Fishbat .45, creator/writer, half-hour animated comedy series (Teletoon Network); Crude, half-hour comedy series, creator/writer (Showcase Network).
Colin Aussant is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre's Feature and TV Bootcamp programmes, and he won a Praxis National Screenwriting Fellowship for his original feature screenplay Slapping Al Capone. Colin is also a screenwriting instructor at Toronto Film School.
